Writer of the Month
January 2006
David Gerard beat out down Charles Dickens for the win.
David_Gerard (Talk • Contribs (del) • Editcount • Block (rem-lst-all) • Logs • Groups )
- For I vote for him cause he's thr first in the list. --User:csaba
- Not only is David friendly and appreciative — two traits that should get him kicked off the admin list — he is also the author of one of my favorite articles, Fountainhead Earth, and can go from page creation to Featured status in under a week. Because of this I hereby nominate him for WotM and cast my vote as well. ---Rev. Isra (talk) 22:36, 28 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- For - I know it's only December 28, but I've got to agree with Isra's sentiments. He gave me some good comments on one of my early works. Huzzah, and all that. Jlove1982 03:43, 29 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Underwire support ~ In retrospect, A Sale of Two Titties wasn't the worst book I ever read. It was rather good, really. And yes, I know he's run against David before, but it was a stalemate then too. I need lift and separation resolution. -- T. (talk) 15:47, 1 Jan 2006 (UTC)

I have no idea if this goes by just this months entries or everything leading up to this point in Unhistory, but for this month there's Humility and MOPM which are two very strong pieces, and overall I'm a huge fan of Sir Alec (I find it more challenging to invent a character that interests people as opposed to one with instant recognition, and he exceeds expectations there) and Cthulhu, amongst others. Plus there's QuoteUnquote, which I believe Some user is largely responsible for...there are other things (a stable of great pics and he's always helping people out, leaving one to wonder "where does he find the meth"?) but this is a Writer's Award...either way, this guy isn't just any user, he's Some user. I understand that theres something to be said for inner circle favorites, but how Wikipedialike is that? Nomination and Vote. If you haven't been around long enough to be schooled on the man that is Mhaille, I strongly recommend that you examine his edit history in its entirety, as well as his talk page archives. He's a model administrator, an expert noob coddler, a fine writer, and a prize-winning artist who I'm fortunate to have on many of my articles since almost the day I started here. His encouragement of my writing is much of the reason that this site swallowed me whole, and I've watched him help the other noobs that have come after me.
