For. After great deliberation, I've decided to throw my lot it with Sog. Though Al has certainly had a fantastic year, Sog earned himself a whopping 30 features in 2010, the best year by an Uncyclopedian ever, not to mention the fact that he also sits atop the Hall of Shame list by a pretty healthy margin, and is just a stone's throw away from a totally obscene 50 features. Holy living fuck. After checking with Baseball statistician Bill James (or I may be Bill James) Sog could arguably be credited with 30 features in MMX. His feature of December 31, 2009, was still on the two-feature template on January 1. And his Funnybony collab featured Jan. 2, 2011, had enough votes to be featured a few days earlier. Epic for. Look Al, Guildy and Sog are fantastic. Any of them would be deserving and worthy winners of this award. But the fact that Mhaille hasn't won this yet is frankly astonishing. The man is consistent, classy, quality and bloody funny. And he doesn't just do his own stuff. Countless times, a noob has posted up a stub with a kernel of an idea, and before they know it, Mhaille has wandered past, dropped half a dozen good ideas into it, nodded in encouragement, and left, making the wiki a funnier place in his wake. How many times has he made a difference in this way? How many times has this wiki benefitted from his touch? I appreciate all the support off the bat, but considering Sog has over a dozen more features than I do and almost all of Al's 30ish features were written in the past calendar year (compared to the mere eleven features I've earned this past year, four of those actually being articles that I wrote the previous year that were featured well after the fact), I'd say there are at least two much more deserving writers nominated on this page. You know what, a good case can be made so I'm going to nom this fucking hermit. Maniac1075 has written so many articles that they have to be listed in hidden categories, and 42 of those are off of the Requested Articles list alone. That's not counting many of his pages which have been huffed back to user space because they were too gross to even consider reading in impolite society. He has lots of features, well, maybe four, or even less, but he doesn't even try for features, unlike myself, the whore of Babalon. He just writes and writes and writes for the fun of it. He hasn't been around for a few weeks, had to get a job, or a hand job, or something. You can tell that by the smell of clean air and the fact that some of the birds have returned. For in addition to constant editing, fixing, befriending, writing, reviewing, eyeing, coding, welcoming, and othering, probably the best thing Lyrithya has done is to improve the culture of Uncy and make it lots more fun to come here. Who cares how long you've been here, this is a year award and you have done more to change the culture of the place, the flavor of the backroom discussions and how people get-along-ness, than anyone else. And on top of that the constant problem-solving, vandal zapping, nudging good articles to be better articles, taking at least half-a-dozen noobs in hand and leading them every step of the way not only to be exceptionately welcomed but to be good users. All of that, and squeezing two years worth of editing and pee reviewing into six months of constant vigil too, and even though you aren't an admin your admin powers are self-given and almost legendary. So instead of "boo hooing, I'm not all that", give yourself your own due, and instead of mysterious voting againstists, everyone here should be cheering and throwing stuff to eat in your path so you wouldn't have to waste time shopping. For. ChiefjusticeDS, as many pieces on this site suggest, is a terrible person. We know that he hates humor, we know that he hates people, and we know that he barely knows how to use a computer. To top it all off, he's British. At the end of the day, what we all want is the sinking ship that is Uncyclopedia to be grabbed by the numerous, powerful tridactyl tentacles of a sea monster thing and quickly pulled to the bottom of the ocean where it will never be seen again until James Cameron decides he can make money off of it. ChiefjusticeDS, at least in my eyes, is just one of those many, important tentacles helping pull Uncyclopedia back to the depths from which it came. But why ChiefjusticeDS? Why not any of the other succulent tentacles? Look closely. You may notice, upon looking closely, that ChiefjusticeDS is the fairest tentacle of them all. His suction cups are the largest, his precision is superb, and unlike the other tentacles, he has never been forecfully all up in some anime chick's anus/vagina/mouth/nostrils (and probably never will be). Comment. Romartus is amazing. The stuff he do here... er, I mean, the things he does here may not earn him the greatest of love, but he's fair, honest, and consistent and he stands by what he believes. Few put the extent of hard work into what they do like Romartus does, and fewer still extend that same effort on behalf of others should they ask. Be it forcing writers to improve their works before they pass VFH, helping remove cruft through VFD or general writerly acts and advices, this guy increases the quality of Uncyclopedia one piece at a time.

Does his constant vigil over VFD, supplying well-reasoned votes and comments as well as often complete overhauls of the articles themselves, so that even if they were horrors, they need not be deleted in the end after all, make no impression? But those aside, he is also simply all-around helpful, advising users with and critiquing their writings, welcoming the young and old alike to areas of his interest in a more personal way than most, and with directed pointers for each person. He even patrols recent changes at times, which on top of everything else is a little scary, especially since unlike a lot of folks, he still finds time to write amidst all this. So I guess my point is, SPIKE is awesome.

Neopowell and Humbucker are both awesome; both of them started strong, both of them already have a featured article, both are pleasant people with which to have conversations, and are willing to have conversations, and have already been helpful to other users... and they are both still around at the end of the month, after all that. I really hope they both continue to stick around, as somehow they are both more of an asset to the place than most of the older users, and they put said older users to shame, but more important to me are the... other things - Neopowell really likes hats, which is always a good sign, because hats are... well, I digress. Meantime, Humbucker has expressed (and then suppressed, but that can be overcome) a desire to delete the wiki, which I cannot help but adore. These two... I love them. I could never choose one over the other, so I'm just voting for the one with less votes.

For. Per TFK's suggestion to look through NNL's pages. I've spent a lot of time since yesterday doing so, and have even looked into his user-pages in progress. This guy is either a team of writers, a human with advanced writer-DNA, or a hard-core humourist who really enjoys the site. In his short time here he has done lots of requested articles (though a long way from Maniac1075's ra output), and each of his pages are excellent while still having room for polishing and improvement.
