Forum:User links
These are no longer working as expected:
- the form u|Username (in square brackets, of course) no longer works and is a red link.
- the full form User:Username reports the "User:" part which it did not before, even though the blue link autofill (still) gives "Username" only.

- Nigel Scribbler. Ha!, well, that works again. The incident occurred in "DidYouKnow", with link now deleted, and on a recent talk page, also with link deleted to username. Specifics I do not know. See also Talk: 17th century, where syntax/brackets were changed. They worked as blue links and not red links for all usernames AND IPs, not just usernames. I linked IPs because that's what article history also does.
- User:Nigel Scribbler has square brackets,
The hand, having writ, moves on, but that doesn't mean it can remember effing anything. Therefore these lists.

has curly brackets. Am I using wrong syntax here somehow? Change your view to "edit" and see what's missing here. I believe that square brackets used to work properly, reducing the string to just displaying only the username. Mandela Effect? Wooooooo! -- (talk) 11:05, February 6, 2019 (UTC)
- I see what's going on here with this mess above. Curly brackets around User:Nigel Scribbler copies my profile page. Using square brackets still doesn't work properly. I don't know what use curly brackets could be good for in this context, but there it is. -- (talk) 11:25, February 6, 2019 (UTC)
