- No, for many reasons. (1) The page and its absurdly large local fanbase has long ago gained the status of a vanity in-joke, along the lines of Camp Fuck You Die. (2) This isn't a game, so I don't think you can sweepingly delete all the subpages, since the main page is not up for consideration. (3) The people who get this article get it. Most others (such as you) do not, so who are you to judge? I read it (not all, since it is god-awfully enormous, but a lot of it) and I liked it. Plus, it's very well-formatted and (mostly) well-written to boot. This is a niche article, has been for a long time, is incredibly in-depth, and by all means should not be deleted. You can stop making terrible nominations now, Lyrithya. -- TKFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK 01:25, April 11, 2011 (UTC)

- It looks like someone built a whole fantasy website here. There is Wheeling Jesuit University/Groups, Wheeling Jesuit University/Buildings, Wheeling Jesuit University/People, Wheeling Jesuit University/Publications, Wheeling Jesuit University/Legal System... I'm afraid I don't have the time to dig through all this cruft, but I don't see Uncyclopedia as the place for a complete fantasy brochure. -- Sir "TheSlyPony" Invariably certifiable. 01:13, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
- It is no joke, and some of its 1300 students have God-awful amounts of free time. I may have stumbled onto this while saving St. Clairsville, Ohio, but didn't stick around. Spıke Ѧ 01:18 11-Apr-11
- I figured it was a real school, though the name is just asking for massive amounts of puns and other cruft from Anons. I don't think it's notable enough for Codeine's Mum to know about it, and it all looks like the work of disgruntled students upon initial assessment. I would just VFD the subpages and huff them all in one fell swoop, but I won't do that without some input first. By the way, this looks like a very legitimate nomination to me. -- Sir "TheSlyPony" Invariably certifiable. 01:39, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
- The nomination is not completely legitimate, since you're asking for the deletion of many pages that only relate back to the broad topic. If you were nominating a game page, in which one subpage could not exist without a prior one, it would be no problem. But this is like nominating 10 different pages in a single nomination, or nominating all the articles in a category. You can't do that. Nominate each page individually or don't do it at all. -- TKFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK 01:46, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
- The nomination was quite legitimate and indicated what pages it referred to until you modified it during the vote by deleting "and subpages" from the heading. And what does it mean to say, "The people who get it, get it"--except to portray as unfashionable those who disagree with you? The crufty subtree Lyrithya is proposing to prune is hardly essential to the school's main page. Spıke Ѧ 02:06 11-Apr-11

- Well, that was 2:15 that I'll never get back; and for what? Spıke Ѧ 02:14 11-Apr-11
- Closed. TKF claimed this nomination was not legitimate in the first place, despite both precedent and ye old UN:IAR indicating to the contrary, but by changing the nomination itself after the fact he has invalidated it even more effectively - changing what people are voting on in the middle of voting on it might work if one is trying to make them look stupid, but it also completely undermines any chance of reaching a consensus, as it removes both the history and the understanding of what is going on.

- The joke about Arthur C. The intro comes close (also accusing him of devising innovative ideas only slightly after they happened in real life, which is okay). But the body of the article is awful lists. - One way to save it. Intro indicates that the Canadian National Anthem promises to "stand on guard for Thee," which sure sounds like a person. The rest of the article needs to use Thee only in the objective case so that every sentence could either be talking about this mysterious person or the second person. Article would also need a theme--rather than a trite superhero motif, some theme that ties together Canadian current events. Spıke Ѧ 17:02 7-Apr-11

- Because on WACKYpedia, nobody truly cares. As I mentioned on the Village Dump around the 1st of April, New Monaco actually killed the site, since Illogicopedia moved to a new server rather than accept New Monaco, and only IPs are regularly active on Wackypedia, more often than not to vandalize what remains. On illogicopedia, it would be dumped in the rubbish heap without a second thought. Also, two people here actually like it, and it looks like something that might have been passable in the earlier days at illogicopedia had it originated at that site. Nowadays, anything moved from Uncyc has a 99.9% chance of deletion at Ilogicopedia. By contrast, wackypedia doesn't delete anything since the only active admins there are wikia staff, so they have an open door towards lists and the like. So if I sorta like the article but find it too impossibly random or subpar quality for Uncyc, and on VFD with not much chance to survive, I copy it over to Wackypedia. Wikia doesn't appear to care, either. -- Simsilikesims(♀GUN) Talk here. 04:05, April 7, 2011 (UTC)

- Per SlyFox, it would make a good future injoke and, per Guildy, Frosty has put in some time and effort, so deleting it entirely doesn't seem fair. - Keep. it is not random bitterness, I believe the VFD is more partisan this this article. The Red States was a real term and the phenom within its historical context was significant. The implicit joke of this article is to suggest the "red state" voters are also within the realm of racism. If users are offended by being grouped into racism and bigotry by geography, then perhaps they should work to insure their geography protects diversity. To dismiss this as "random bitterness" is to ignore the source material which is Daughters of the confederacy, which despite its real denials, is inherently racist. --K3vin-Yak-Bak MUN,CM,NS 19:22, April 3, 2011 (UTC)

- Delete. Related, but cryptic to boot. I don't get the connection between this article and racism, but as the author says it's "the implicit joke of this article," I repeat my comment on Red States: if you want to name-call a region or a party, rather than write funny stuff, head for one of the many political blogs, where they do it so often it's trite unless we add funny new twists, which you didn't. Spıke Ѧ 21:17 3-Apr-11
- I do not deny the article is rough, and my proposal stands to re-work the article into something more relevant to today. Underlying themes from this article is - votes are not private (ie a transcript of your voting record if you reside in florida). Sarah Palin could be part of this. I think the issue of stale is more pressing. I do not like to spell out obvious jokes. That is a huge problem for people that want knock knock jokes of spins on current events. I know a lot of my humor is lost on a lot of people. But the ones that find it, find it exponentially more hilarious because the do get it. This one is weak, but it can be improved. Obviously I am more invested in this than any of the anti-voters. Not out of pride for babies, but because I completely disagree that this is a bitter rant against a group of states about the Bush Election. Sure in 2005 it was. Perhaps in 2011, it needs an update. But that was not proposed or suggested. Eradication was. This fits the category of VFD for deletion, but, given my renewed interest in the project it now becomes a wikiwar over procedures, instead of trying to improve the site. --K3vin-Yak-Bak MUN,CM,NS 21:30, April 3, 2011 (UTC)

- Comment. Kevin, if you want to completely rewrite this, it does not have to be deleted today. When someone nominates an article for deletion, deciding whether it should be deleted or tagged for a rewrite, the context of the article is weighted against the likelihood of actually it being worked on (at least that's how I do it). Most people don't want to rewrite their articles; in fact, they've usually headed for the hills by the time their works end up on VFD. So we put rewrite tags on items we believe need some entry on the site, even if said entry is not very good. When I nominated this, I did not see it as having any relevance here; then again, I did not see any of the implicit jokes you mentioned. That said, if you want to rewrite it, I will rescind my delete vote. We could have something very good here if the implicit jokes were made a little more accessible. -- Sir "TheSlyPony" Invariably certifiable. 07:41, April 4, 2011 (UTC)

- Keep. this is political satire not a rant. Yes I wrote it, and at the time there was a lot of talk about red states vs blue states, but it is still a very real phenom. The Tea Party and Foxnews ites continue to identify as a group, which this page mocks. To dismiss it suggests a political agenda by the dismissers. Or something less than good faith for other editors to imply I am bitter, comes close to name calling and personal disparaging remarks. This article can be improved. This was an early creation of mine, so I am probably a bit biased, but with the popularity of Colbert Report and Daily show as comedy, this article can be worked into a satire piece. Unfunny, is so objective, it is funny in and of itself. Because a joke is not understood, by an individual does not make it unfunny. The end result of the CFD was for me to take a look at what it was, that I left steaming 6 years ago, and what others have left on top of it. - You guys really don't have any mathematical background, do you? The closest thing it has to a joke is saying that the expression is filler in the beginning, but none of what follows even so much as glances upon that. Instead, it just devolves into a pile of namedropping and randomness mixed in with what look like expressions. Starts out with Oscar Wilde, moves onto a poor your mum joke, then wanders into a nonsense biography including interviews with the expression and talking about it as an accepted member of the community, and how it regards said community. It even has parents - bastard Christian parents, that somehow gave birth to it in Australia. If this did not have <maths> tags in it, it would look like just another stupid stub, which, incidentally, is exactly what it is.

- Delete. Inferior in every way, including spelling, to the existing article, Manowar, on the heavy-metal group--though even that article overuses allegations of homosexuality. The Wikipedia page immediately tells the reader Manowar set a Guinness record in 1984 for loudest performance, and has broken its own record twice since. Can't someone do something with that?
