  1. Symbol delete vote.svg Delete. This should be deleted for two reasons: (1) It used to mock British people at the start of the article. While I have no problem with this usually, this has no explanation for why British people are mocked. (2) It now mocks American people at the start of the article. I do not have a problem with this as it is justified by the above sentence. (3) It is offensive, rude, non-encyclopedic and claims that I (otherwise known as you) have never written an article which is false. It is not encyclopedic and is not funny please vote to delete. • Yikes! You deleted my comment. A good place for a comment on this stuff then. You seems sensitive that what's said here in a playful manner is actually some kind of attack on you, which is far from the truth. When I said "You should be deleted for two reasons hahahahahahahaha" I was playing, which is what we do all over the place here. It's what makes this place unique among place with threads and comments, you can play lots and not offend anybody by doing so. So by being here you will develop a thick skin over time but it will be a good skin, like a baby's thumb, and when that happens you may actually find this article pretty good! Sorry, Al; what I meant to delete is Scott's incorrect lecture to you not to type your comment in the Delete section. That is tolerated; so is "unencyclopedic" when it is done really well, as in this article. Spıke Ѧ 14:26 9-Apr-13

  • The start is surprisingly not too bad. The list is pretty horrendous. Unfortunately the subject matter means it will be an IP magnet and that will create an ever expanding list of bollocks. But that intro would fit well in an article on something like HowTo: Survive school. I think there are elements of this that have potential, but not enough to vote to keep.                               Puppy's talk page01:31 01 Apr 2013

I'm not a die-hard Radiohead fan, but I enjoy their first few albums. To get any of these lyrics to fit the songs takes a stretch, and even those that do aren't that funny. Smells like Nirvana by Weird Al uses a similar vehicle, but it limits to one song, and the lyrics actually makes sense. Reading through this I just get random gibberish that is barely related to the source material. I even tried to strip it down to the best example among the lot (which would have been creep imo), and even trying to stretch I'm a crepe. I'm a weird-dough, which is the closest match for I'm a creep. I'm a weirdo, fails to make me smile, or potentially be a genuine mondegreen. The only other option as a one off would be Paranoid Android (as their most commonly known song), and trying to turn when I am king you will be first against the wall/ with your opinions which are of no consequence at all into When I am Queen you will be sucking against my wall/ With your opinions which is of no funk-a-quinces doesn't gel. And most of the words are the same. From a fan-ish perspective, I fail to see any of this truly work.                               Puppy's talk page08:45 19 Mar 2013

The template was awarded to Cainad in January 2007 by Some user. It may have been awarded to someone else and later deleted, but we can safely assume it was little used. This article can safely be deleted without harming the template. --Mn-z 16:30, March 5, 2013 (UTC)
Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:QUAKKinator Used twice in Cainad's userspace, once by Cainad in the Forum to advocate its use in mainspace to tag overuse of quotes, and here. Better solution: Just get rid. At the risk of introducing red-links, the template should go as well. Spıke Ѧ 16:45 5-Mar-13
I was tempted to take the template to VFD. However, it no longer references this page, and it is a valid award template. Or, rather, it could have been if it was actually used back in 2006. It isn't really hurting anything, and is marginally better than 3 red links. Maybe we should move the template to Template:Quotinator, leaving the redirect. --Mn-z 17:41, March 5, 2013 (UTC)

The only thing stopping me from voting to delete is my lack of familiarity with Glenn Beck. As he is commonly known in the US, and some of this article may rely on reader's foreknowledge - which I lack - I'm not really in the best place to make a judgement. But from my perspective, this is an unfunny article that relies upon foreknowledge that is somewhat parochial. 2. Symbol delete vote.svg Delete, again. This is seriously bad use of the English language. Yes, it is meant to make fun of same, but simply taking another Uncyclopedia page and making the English turgid is not heavy lifting nor as laughter-causing as focused, planned, engaging use of (perhaps with wry commentary on) bad English. • Symbol comment vote.svg Comment. I plan on a doing a reworking on the quotable mainpage. However, the main link template is intertwined with the various reskin pages. Before I work on the quote mainpage, I need to see what the community wants to keep, so I am not wasting time reworking articles that are going to be deleted anyway. --Mn-z 08:05, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
You have noted that the same text is transliterated multiple times into different "languages," but you could improve the Unquotable main page without the risk that we might compel you to apply your changes to Obfuscata in bad English, pirate-speak, etc. Spıke Ѧ 10:52 23-Feb-13
The coding of Unquotable:MainArticleList (which is used as template) is horrible, generating different content on different pages because there is a different section of code for each page the template appears on. --Mn-z 20:17, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
Horrible indeed! The template ("tricked out" in the ever-self-congratulatory words of Some user) special-cases itself based on who its caller is, to give each caller the "elegance" of calling the same, single template to achieve radically different effects! This is not so much a key part of our site heritage as a bomb planted especially deep! Spıke Ѧ 21:42 23-Feb-13
  • Symbol comment vote.svg @ puppy if we need an article on Obfuscata, which would be a valid subject, it should be at Obfuscata, not as a clone of a random navigation page. This article makes about as much sense as running Newtis Newtfield through a Swedish Chef translator and calling it the Svedeesh Noot. --Mn-z 17:16, February 24, 2013 (UTC)
I agree that we should have an article at Obfuscata but the closest we have is at Obfuscation. I think this quotable page is a good example of Obfuscata, and we don't have an article at Obfuscata about the style of writing, so this should stay, at least until someone writes the Obfuscata page. You may consider this a challenge to write said page, if you like. Also, if someone ran Newtis Newtfield through a Swedish chef translator and called it the Sveedeesh Noot that would be funny. Redundant, but funny, particularly if it were linked as a see also from the main Newtis Newtfield article.-- Simsilikesims(♀GUN) Talk here. 02:40, February 25, 2013 (UTC)

  2. Symbol keep vote.svg Keep. Imrealized knows his history. This page, which I've never seen before, give the background of the Oscar quotes, something which uncyclopedia is infamous for. It outlines the start of the meme, and how it evolved. I don't understand why people want to delete the main pages of the Oscar Wilde quotes. The quotes themselves, when they are bad and are on good to stupid articles, sure, but not the historical pages themselves. What's the problem with leaving those few pages alone, especially one like this which educates about the beginning of a tradition. I stand with Imrealized in standing with Some user, who is sitting down and won't stand for himself. Aleister 8:03 23-2-'13
  3. Symbol keep vote.svg Keep. I didn't want to be the only holdout, so I proposed originally to userspace this piece of Uncyc history so that it wouldn't get deleted outright. But I think that since it does mention former Uncyc admins in the story, it does deserve a place in Unquotable as Uncyc history. The UN:CM test also takes into account whether any of the admins might have heard of it, and I do remember one or two of the admins mentioned here, though they are no longer active on this site. Admittedly this story all happened before I chanced upon Uncyclopedia, but that is history for you. -- Simsilikesims(♀GUN) Talk here. 02:58, February 25, 2013 (UTC)

  3. Symbol delete vote.svg Delete. nobody cares. This is somewhere between vanity and cracking wise with the navigation tools, with a dose of advocacy. This uses a whole article of ranting to explain history that could be said in a paragraph. --Mn-z 13:42, February 22, 2013 (UTC)
History explained in one paragraph - today's educational system described. The best history is an eyewitness account of what occurred told by someone who was there, plus the thought process which went into the situations described. It would be nice to have as detailed an account of the creation of uncy and other aspects of the wiki as we have here about the step-by-step creation and thought processes concerning the start of the Oscar Wilde quotes. a random historian 8:25 23-2-'13
