fairly full treatment stupid, has very good pics and maps and things, so why wouldn't it end up here? And then if a few people come along first it can get deleted. The ButtPoop thing comes to mind, here and gone before the community knew about it. There seems to be a big hole in the system, that people can work on a page for maybe years and then it can be huffed away. Still miffed about the ButtPoop thing, it was one of the GOOD pages on VFG, which should have automatically kept it off VFD. That huffing is the main reason we may have lost one good writer, and contributed to losing another. Why not a similar process to bring pages back from VFD when this kind of thing occurs? Al sans chains 2:05 3 6 MMX
- Some of the "pics and maps and things" are also used on the two articles on the halves of Korea. Though I sympathize with your recent complaints, you are wrong about one thing: The new format doesn't inhibit you from bringing drama to the VFD page! Spıke Ѧ 12:21 3-Jun-10
- So, pointing out a hole in the VFD process on the VFD page is drama. Why not just call it constructive criticism, and something that should be further discussed. Should VFG articles be huffed here, or automatically saved? Can pages many users want to save for various reasons, but which are voted off before those voters become aware of the vote, be brought back for a longer discussion? Drama is in the eye of the beholder. I see these as legit questions and concerns about issues which have recently contributed to one and maybe two of our best users leaving the site. - If I did bring it up in almost every VFD discussion I'd agree with you. But what better place to bring up an issue like this than in a discussion about Korea? Did you fight in Korea? - I personally don't feel that disagreeing with the style of satire is a sufficient reason to delete an article. Whether or not some users find dark satire written in a way that parodies exposé-style journalism humorous or not, is ones own taste. Read what you like. I prefer Jonathan Swift. As to an axe to grind with a cancer charity - quite the opposite on this particular one especially. The article is specifically *not* about a charity which is doing serpentine things (locks of love - google news it). If the organization in this article were doing these things, it would be a sad truth. I sincerely hope they are not. I may write more about this on the talk page later. I hope anyone following this does not allow themselves to be guilt tripped or scared by the response letter. It also does not comment on the moral foundations of any writers here, or the author of this article who annually donates to cancer research foundations in the name of her best friend who passed away. --Puffskein 00:02, May 27, 2010 (UTC)
