- Keep. Could be the start of something good. Sections 2 and beyond (bitch-slap lists of one-liners about which character is better than which other) must go. Article's biggest defect is that it is not a complete bio, and what humor it does have plays off a specific scene in a specific movie. You really did "have to be there." Though it develops the theme of a Kirk-vs-Sulu death wish, never relates it to the real-life feud between their portrayers that had Shatner not invited to Takei's gay wedding. Spıke Ѧ 18:17 20-Oct-10

- most people dont know him "Attourney" is not the correct American spelling; could be the British, Wikipedia has a redirect, but most of what Google coughs up seems to be misspellings from the US. Is there a possible humor concept in mapping this hated profession to a superhero? It could be casual racism, but dwelling on Simpson/Cochrane made me think this article was written by homies, who are allowed to call each other niggers--also to turn in awful papers, which you must not mark down, because it means you hate them all on the most superficial of grounds. - This is a horrible article and I won't be sad to see it go. It mixes partisan fallacies, 911-truther memes, and semen jokes and never rises to the level of wry or incisive. However, as I understand it, this is the counterpart to the fawning George W. Bush and is our designated escape valve for Democrats. Spıke Ѧ 02:09 15-Oct-10
- What if the two articles were combined? Because compared to the current article in question, George W. Bush is funnier. Leutnant Herr Thatdamnedfollowspot 02:35 Friday, October 15, 2010
- I agree it is funnier, but the humor concept is different--the last time I read it, it was a retrospective on Bush through the forgiving/naive eyes of a Mary Matalin or a Peggy Noonan. None of the crap from this article would fit easily there. I've stated here in the past my own hope of some day writing yet another Bush article, neither pro nor con but a ridiculous, dead-pan list of all his small-government initiatives that left us with bigger government. If you have overly-redundant categories, then the content tends to be separated for no good reason. - I'm not suggesting that things be moved from one category to another and deleted on the other one. They both can stand alone, no? This isn't wikipedia, so categories are both tools and--in some cases--jokes, at least to some of us users. They are not either/or but both. I'm now tempted to make a non-American Mormon category, and leave it empty, or use that overused tumbleweed gif. But bottom line, Mitt Romney alone needs more than just "Mormons" as one of his categories, and this one seems to fit. Aleister 13:20 10 10
- Romney is both notorious and ridiculous and deserves an article that is funny and/or scathing. But he needs nothing special in the Categories. Silly fine print at the bottom of an article won't make or break it; and, as when an author changes the name of an organization he is ridiculing: It slightly breaks the "encyclopedia" cover, and it forces the reader to look something up by the punch line. - I need help. I.P. Anon here has a winning concept: Given the popularity of Linux, there must be a Mister Linux somewhere in our history whose story to tell. And he is also smart enough (smarter than he is in English grammar) to see that such a story won't get you far in this article; you will need to turn a mean phrase. He doesn't do it quite right, and walked away in 2006 from a stubby, photo-free article. - This is perverse. Used in Linux Incorporated, the OWQ (Oscar Wilde Quote) template uses the single argument as the name of a page underneath Template:Wilde. In the case of Linux Incorporated, it references Template:Wilde/Linux Incorporated, a Wilde-ism template destined for use in exactly one page. This is a bizarre impulse to store all the Wilde-isms in the same place for no discernible reason. Instead, these quotes should be manually inserted into the page for which they were written. Spıke Ѧ 10:32 11-Oct-10
- PS--Some of the templates beneath Template:Wilde may show no pages linking to them, if they are used only via {{OWQ}}, and some may have been intended for use on a single page that has already been deleted. Now, how many bytes did this technique save? Spıke Ѧ 11:13 11-Oct-10

- There are 112 pages that use {{OWQ}}. In some cases (such as Bowling), the separate document holds multiple Wildeisms. Spıke Ѧ 23:37 11-Oct-10
- I believe the point of this template is to store all the Wilde quotes at Uncyclopedia:Wilde/A (and the following pages) using {{OWQL}}. Rambling on about Oscar Wilde used to be considered funny back in the day, i.e. 2005. At any rate, we should probably delete those pages, all the Wilde quotes that exist as sub-templates, this page of epic listcruft of randumbness, and probably the mainpage to the God-forsaken Wilde project. But, I'm getting ahead of myself... --Mn-z 00:02, October 12, 2010 (UTC)
- Perhaps; my nomination was not a commentary on the Oscar Wilde meme as much as on the bizarre nature of putting related contents of a hundred different articles in a separate folder. Spıke Ѧ 00:46 12-Oct-10
- Can't it be both? But on a more serious note, if we get rid of this template, we will probably need to get rid of Uncyclopedia:Wilde/A (and related pages) too, since I think they are interconnected. --Mn-z 01:58, October 12, 2010 (UTC)

Request to undo deletion of {{OWQ}}
Despite your vote to delete {{OWQ}}, I ask admins to restore it (and Template:Wilde/Bowling and Template:Wilde/Java, which I sent to QVFD as part of the clean-up). One hundred pages are broken, and the cleanest way to fix them is to undo our vote, unless we decide to eliminate the system in which Wildeizms are used on pages and also assembled on a page of their own. There has been majority, but not consensus, opinion to do this, here and in Forum:Trim back the Oscar Wilde Project?, but based on very little input. Spıke Ѧ 10:28 18-Oct-10
