- Keep. Not all war pages are alike. Some are good and interesting, and this is one of them. A little clean-up on red links to be done, but overall a funny and strange concept that is well presented with pics and ideas. Sometimes it is okay to study war some more. Aleister 10:43 11 8
- I'll withhold, but red-links aren't the only problem. This article has a concept--morph the horrors of war to the non-horrible world of chocolate--but it's too aimless. Mentioning strife between dark and milk chocolate made me think it would draw parallels with real-world race rhetoric, but it dropped it. Just another rambling essay on war by a fourth-grader. - Now the page has been edited quite a bit, and is a different page than what some of the delete voters read. It's not a great page, a feature (although given time it could be), but imnho it is no longer a VFD page. And added work will improve it from here. Aleister 2:02 14 8
- Change to keep. Examining this again, I conclude that it has been much improved and is definitely savable. I've removed all connections with the World Wars, so it should be fine. Saberwolf116 02:23, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

- Delete. Was a bit of a tough decision but I'm against it for two reasons. The first is that if you wanted to make an article about a chocolate war call it "The Chocolate War". The second is that if you can make an article about a chocolate war you can lazily make a war article about anything by replacing the names with referential names and inserting them into a real war story structure. Hey, look! I just wrote an article about the Owls vs. Dairy war where General Brie overran the 3rd Spotted Owl division guarding Hootania by using armor piercing yogurt! I can seriously write a thousand word article like that without even thinking. This sort of article is hardly funny, it's just lazy and stupid.--Count of Monkey Crisco 16:48, August 12, 2010 (UTC)

- Off the fence. Commendations to Aleister for ditching the nonsense year numbers, though when the opposing sides acquire initials (could be worse, could be acronyms) the intro is already taking itself too seriously. Al in the change summary admits he hasn't gone far enough; replacement of phrases with other phrases doesn't explain what Chocolate has to do with war--It still needs a real humor concept. Until then, it's firmly in the genre of Wacky War. Spıke Ѧ 00:12 13-Aug-10

SUDDEN DEATH - since it's a tie, this article has another 24 hours, so if you're reading this and didn't already vote, VOTE YOU LAZY SHITCAKE... or don't, and my vote will decide the tiebreaker. lazy jerks -- Prof. Olipro KUN (W)Anchor Op Bur. (Harass) 00:05, August 13, 2010 (UTC)
- What are you talking about, Olipro? If its' a tie, it's kept. If it's +1 or +2, it's usually kept too. Even if it's +3, its deletion is not ensured. +4 is usually the number at which stuff starts getting deleted. It's been like that for a couple years now. —Sir Socky (talk) (stalk) GUN SotM UotM PMotM UotY PotM WotM 14:36, 13 August 2010
- Olipro bends the rules quite frequently, and nobody seems to care enough to call him out on it. Saberwolf116 19:51, August 13, 2010 (UTC)
- Many of the nay voters didn't see the changes on the page, including a title change. It's been edited heavily since they voted. Would this page now have been put on VFD? I would argue that it wouldn't have. Although the infamous BUTT POOP was huffed with a vote of 2 (4 to 6), a serious cause of concern for that controversy, certainly a tie or a low number, even a 3, should not end a page, especially if it picks up the votes of quite a few regular users. Aleister 21:09 13 8
- +2 or 3 after a week indicates consensus leaning towards delete. At this point it's usually at the discretion of the admin to do whatever could be right. At this point, Olipro gave it more time instead of outright deleting it, so I don't see what's to complain about. -- TKFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK 23:36, August 13, 2010 (UTC)
- So an admin who hasn't been involved with VFD until recently decides to judge articles according to his own rules, and this completely undiscussed change is perfectly fine? Um, what? Are you serious? —Sir Socky (talk) (stalk) GUN SotM UotM PMotM UotY PotM WotM 01:57, 14 August 2010
- Fuck it, I'm writing a forum about this. —Sir Socky (talk) (stalk) GUN SotM UotM PMotM UotY PotM WotM 01:59, 14 August 2010
Agree that we are seeking consensus, not just a tie-breaker; and believe it's easier to call our attention to the agreed rule before the article is incorrectly huffed. Spıke Ѧ 00:46 14-Aug-10
- BUTT POOP was 6 to 1 delete. It had some invalid after the fact protest votes. --Mn-z 14:12, August 14, 2010 (UTC)
- Ah the good old unwritten rules of VFD, one person sees it one way, another sees it another way. if you don't see it as a case of a tiebreaker (I currently do) then lets get some rules codified in UN:DEL and I'll be happy to follow it in that precise spirit. But don't start accusing me of breaking the rules when none formally exist. Personally, I think you're just gunning for a confrontation. -- Prof. Olipro KUN (W)Anchor Op Bur. - Delete. Bahamut is the Norse god of poetry and foreplay and was the result of Zeus impregnating a Taiwanese "girl" who went on to inspire the Norse-Jew Exodus!?! If that isn't enough, the closing paragraph of "Bahamut now lives in a quiet villa in rural Spain with his lovely wife Elissa McSursley. He does freelance work with a Finnish e-commerce company, and in his spare time he enjoys writing screenplays, poetry, novels, and short stories. He often gets summoned by "Final"Fantasy summoners... but he just doesn't care." really ties the noose around the neck of this one. Bahamut is actually the giant fish that the earth rests on in the Arabic mythology and the King of the Righteous Dragons in Dungeons and dragons. I spent and hour-and-a-half trying to find some way to make this article generally funny, but the only humor that I could come up with would cater to a very small crowd and I feel that, because of the obscurity of this topic, it could not make a generally "funny" article without coming off as randumb.
