- ....which is why I said in the first sentence, "it's not funny" --Nerd42 15:09, 28 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- Keep It's not extremely funny or anything, but it's not "ghgheheheheh Jesus sucks" either. The line "The big questions in life, such as Why are we here? and What happens when we die? are all answered, which takes a bit of the mystery out of existence." gave me a chuckle at least.
- Keep Not all that funny, but better than some pages I've seen not up for deletion. — — 2nd Lt. Sir Edward, the Weasel of Wild KUN VFH FP 16:02, 28 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- Keep Yeah... if we were a wiki documenting 'truth', thish would have to stay in it's present form. However, Uncyclopedia focusses on HUMOUR (and humor too, if I remember correctly). The article has potential for some incredibly wacky stuff. Some of what is in there now is quite witty. Just delete the stuff that's so true it isn't funny and throw in a couple of Flying Spaghetti Monster references and make it known that God watches believers mastrubate. And stuff like that. --King Nintendoid 16:47, 28 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- OK, so heavy duty rewrite I think most of it reads exactly like a "ghgheheheheh Jesus sucks"fest, and your calling this truth suggests to me that this is becoming not a wiki documentnig HUMOR but a wiki documenting anti-morality HUMOR and that's not something I'd want to stay associated with. General HUMOR that's funny to as many people as possible is what I'd like to see around here. --Nerd42 18:43, 28 Nov 2005 (UTC)
"Anti-morality HUMOR"
- I sense bias. Look, if you're gonna go that road, you may as well hand out with Senor Douchebag del Tourette's syndrome. I agree that there's room for witty wackiness, but if the major reason why you have a problem with this is because it's perceivable as "immoral," then you're barking up the wrong tree.
Keep If only to give a resounding "Fuck you" to the American Religious Majority. Unconventioanlity can be very humorous.--Sir Flammable KUN 18:48, 28 Nov 2005 (UTC)
Delete Though this article is funny, the bottom line is that it is offensive. If we are going to be politically correct (which is, after all, one of the goals of this site), then we can't have offensive articles like this lying around. We wouldn't want someone to come to Uncyclopedia, read an article, become offended and leave, would we? Since the votes so far are unanimously delete, I have gone ahead and deleted the article, as well as all the articles linked to and from it. --Sarcastic Paulgb 19:40, 28 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Nerd42's Crash Course in Religious/Political Humor
Not Funny
(from Reasons not to be a devout Christian)
- You're not allowed to have sex before marriage.
- You're not allowed to enjoy sex within marriage.
- You're only allowed sex to procreate - which means no more sex after your last kid is born.
- That "no premarital sex" thing makes it difficult to empathize with those who get STD's, pregnancy out of wedlock, etc.
Funny
Just thought that'd clarify things a bit --Nerd42 20:52, 28 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- And one more thing.
If only to give a resounding "Fuck you" to the American Religious Majority.
As has been mentioned before, that's not the stated purpose of ths site. And I thought Christians were intolerant lol. --Nerd42 20:56, 28 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- Oh hush. You're protesting becuase it annoys you. If you want real reasons from me, it's because those statements are, in fact amusing because of their truth/criticality. The list is very "Onion"-esque and ridicules Christianity (which, if you noticed, since we ARE parodying wikipedia, non-NPOV humor is perfectly fine). If you want "moral" humor, go read "Ziggy," I'm sure that's certainly within your depth of character.--Sir Flammable KUN 21:23, 28 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- Face it, this one's a keeper. And I'm counting Paul's vote as a Keep because he's being sarcastic. Stop trying to squeeze a victory out of a complete loss, unless you want us to hate you for making a big deal out of nothing, a la Tourette's--Sir Flammable KUN 21:23, 28 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- Keep, it has good stuffs that aren't worth deleting, eg
"Wanting to have the word "hello" banned because it has "hell" in it."
. If you are overly offended, we can always make you Reasons not to be a devout Christian/Lite --Splaka 22:00, 28 Nov 2005 (UTC)
Didn't say I wanted "moral" humor, or didn't want "immoral humor" but that I think an overdose of anti-moral so-called "humor" isn't "humor" and is just stupid. I'm not saying it's hurtful or people will be offended. If you've read some of my stuff (posted here and elsewhere) you'll know I'm not very concerned with offending people, or with what other people think about me. And, as I understood it, the guidelines say "Bias is not a replacement for humor" which I think is/was happening in this case.
However, now that I've been thinking about it more, I must admit there is some funny material there, and with some heavy editing (I don't nessicarily mean censoring - just deleteing stupid retarded crap like that which I posted above because it's stupid retarded crap) it might become an almost-decent article, or at least better than some I can think of. --Nerd42 22:07, 28 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- If you pay attention, most of it is not simply bias for the sake of bias. Much of what you tried to remove is political commentary (i.e. the religiousness and inherent hypocrisy of using Christianity to justify American actions), and is perfectly suitable for this site.--Sir Flammable KUN 22:18, 28 Nov 2005 (UTC)
Just two points, ok: 1) I'm a Christian and 2) The article is funny. Especially "Maintaining your devout Christian faith while contributing to the Reasons not to be a devout Christian page at Uncyclopedia." And as for heavy editing... well, the entries in the "Not Funny" section of Nerd42's previous posting strikes me as especially funny, because I know people who think that way, God bless 'em. - Baleet it. Strong RadX 03:21, 24 Nov 2005 (UTC)
I added links because I thought it was a funny concept. It probably is too long to be a category and since it is entirely plagarized (I think) it probably shouldn't be an article. I'll miss it though. For those who don't know it's the theme song to Team America World Police. It's much funnier if you've seen the movie.--Naughtyned 05:54, 25 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- I think you're getting the cause and effect of your statistics all befuddled. The correlation between people who've seen Team America World Police and people who think that page is funny is not due to any synergistic relationship between the two, but can be explained much more easily in that people who sat through Team America World Police think some really stupid shit is funny.--Spintherism 06:04, 25 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Not in any way funny. It's a collection of random statements about a language named after an obscure Finnish town. As honorable as it is to mock the Finns at every possible opportunity, this page just lacks any cohesion or readily-accessible humor. --Dschinghis 3:28, 8 Nov 2005 (EST)

Ok, I deleted Espoo language and moved its content (if you can call it that) to the extra-stubby Espoo article. I'll withdraw my objection to Children of Bodom if you say so. But now the real question:
The continental US except for Hawaii because you can't play baseball if you are hawaiin or however it is spelt. Alaska can though
I almost used my Godlike admin powers for the first time to delete this article. If I'd caught it when it was born, I could have -- it was a one-line stupidity. But User:LeeHarveyKennedy added mucho content and made it funny... but not funny enough to overcome the f'upid (fucking stupid) title. I posted a note to LHK suggesting he merge the content into Hawaii and let us know here when the original, overly-titled article is ready to be sent to Soul Society (obscure anime reference, you wouldn't understand). How many "Keep" votes does this need to get the VFD tag removed? I think Curious Larry has added some great content. If that's not enough, I think we could get even more good content by putting this on Pee Review. As for the picture it follows a theme started on the Snoop Dogg page. After I put an edited picture of Snoopy that conflates Snoopy with Snoop Dogg, Mrasdfghjkl added a picture of the real Snoop Dogg with two women kissing, one of whom I believe is Paris Hilton and the other whom I don't know, but would sure like to! Mrasdfghjkl made the caption on this photo "Snoop Dogg doin' his thang", to whiich I added "wid his hos, Peppermint Patty and Marcy." So even though the woman in the Peppermint Patty article photo is clearly not one of the two in the Snoop Dogg photo, I am sure you can see the common theme. That said, I would be willing to edit this phot or replace it with a totally different one if someone has a better idea. --Naughtyned 23:08, 18 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Comment You say you had text "which was funny"? During the previous vote, you'd replaced the whole article with:
- "Tourette's Syndrome" is the singular term for "Tourette's Syndromi" which are deadly super bacteria that are unique in the fact that they only affect other bacteria. A Tourette's Syndromi (named after discoverer John Tourette) is about 10 namometres wide, and lurks in washing-up detergents and soaps. It kills any bacteria it somes into contact with by releasing anti-bacterial bacterio that attack its outer shell and eventually rip the bacteria to shreds. Although scientists believe otherwise, Tourette's Syndrome are the only factor in soap products that gets rid of bacteria. A bacterio, is quite simply, a "foot soldier" in the whole range of bacteria hierachy. It is small and weak, often only living several weeks, but when in a squad with other bacterio, the whole unit (called bacteriom) stregth is fenominal and can easily kill off several million bacteria a day. Bacterio, although efficient at killing in squads, are miserably slow, and require the help of a Tourette Syndromi to help transport them around the bacteria battleground. In short, if bacterio are foot soldiers, Tourette Syndrome are the equivilant of a Battle Tank....

Neutral Personally I don't think it's that funny, and I agree that is objectionable. But when you showed it to the Vice-Chairman of the Tourettes Association, I am absolutely sure she would be appalled. That is not the point. This is a parody site. If you like, you can include a larger link to the Wikipedia article with a warning or something, but removal for the sake of conservative censorship is not what I will support. Adjusting people's thinking is one thing, censoring what you don't like is another, regardless of whether it is offensive or not. --Sophia 06:33, 16 Nov 2005 (UTC)

- Technically, every word you commit to any page of Uncyclopedia becomes fair game, under whatever-the-heck license is granted. In fact, I remember reading something to the effect of "If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly and redistributed at will, then don't submit it here." Where did I see that? Oh, yeah, it's right in front of me at the bottom of the Edit page! - I would agree - this isn't a site where poor suffering souls turn to kindered spirits with which to share tender moments - it's a hostile, arrogant, bitterly satirical website dedicated to insults, lies, slander, and disinformation. If you don't want to contribute to such a site, there's always the Encyclopædia Dramatica, where such people gather. If you add content to this website, it's going to be twisted, edited, and used for evil. Or humor. But regardless, by clicking "save page" you agreed to the bottom-text which stated:
- Please note that all contributions to Uncyclopedia are considered to be released under the Creative Commons SA License (see Project:Copyrights for details). If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly and redistributed at will, then don't submit it here.
- We aren't trying to pick on someone who suffers from a terrible condition - we're picking on those hypocrites who come to this website, contribute to and/or laugh at insulting/slanderous/lying pages, and then complain about their poor sensitivity when a page hits a little too close to home. If you're a thin-skinned whiny little bitch, don't come here. Don't read the pages here, and don't contribute to the site. If you do come here, understand that everyone and everything gets ripped on, and if someone has escaped so far, it's just because we haven't gotten to them yet. We're not picking on Tourette's sufferers specifically - they are just a subset of "everyone", who is our actual target. There are no exceptions. 23:17, 16 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Copyright violations with source can be put through QVFD instead because they do'nt need voting, but it seems someone got to this one quickly anyway. I recreated it as a redirect to Piracy --Paulgb Talk 22:49, 25 Oct 2005 (UTC)
Making up Matrix quotes
--delete - Its not really an article, just a bunch of quotes. --Paulgb Talk 00:06, 25 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Keep. I wouldn't say it's worthy of deletion. --neoEva88 00:23, 25 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Delete My rationale:
- 1. We have more than enough quote pages and quotes already.
- 2. This one hasn't seen much action except by the author.
- 3. I don't think The Matrix is quotable in the way Oscar Wilde or Winston Churchill are. I mean, the "real" Matrix quotes are made up in the first place, they aren't as well known as those by Wilde or Churchill or Einstein, and they're mostly dumb to begin with. --—rc (t) 00:33, 25 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Keep I'm the author. The idea, (as noted in Talk:Making up Matrix quotes) is still being worked on ... but basically it's going to eventually be a page that reveals that all the quotes (from Oscar Wilde, Mark Twain and others) on uncyclopedia are fake, as if the Fake Quotes are like the Matrix and people actually believe they are genuine and need to "free their minds." Example:
"As long as the fake quotes exist, the Wikipedia Universe will never be free."
~ Morpheus on making up quotes.
It's not supposed to be as quotable as other making up quoets pages, it's supposed to make fun of them, and make fun of the Matrix philosophy books, which quote the movies in a similar fashion. --Nerd42 16:56, 25 Oct 2005 (UTC)

- its getting better ... look at the page again. Eventually I'm gonna make some kinda images of the Red Pill and the Blue Pill for it ... only it has to have an even funnier angle to be worth that much trouble ... i'm workin on it suggestions? Talk:Making up Matrix quotes --Nerd42 16:46, 26 Oct 2005 (UTC)
--Keep - it's getting better already. This idea does in fact have potential IMAO.
--keep - it definitely needs work, but i actually think it's very funny, and has a lot of potential - could be pretty great if the article just pulled together a bit more. --Oracleoftruth 00:11, 27 Oct 2005 (UTC)

--yay that's five Keeps vs two Deletes, am I allowed to remove the VFD tag? who does that? --Nerd42 22:12, 31 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- I say take the VFD tag out. Besides just the 5-2 voting, the page now is undeniably hilarious. The first quote makes me fall out of my chair, it alone makes the article an Uncyclopedia classic in my opinion. There's some other golden quotes in there too. If it gets any funnier I expect to see it in the VFH. --neoEva88 00:09, 1 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- wth? it's not really that different ... you know alot more things could improve like this that get deleted instead (i.e. the Cursed Page Series) ... but enough griping. who is allowed to remove VFD tags? I started this article, if I do it it'll prolly not stay gone --Nerd42 20:21, 1 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- KEEP This arcticle is 100 times funnier than 90% of the articles here, and that's true 87% of the time. For a site that prides itself on frivolity and humor there sure seems to be a lot of 'clenched anus' attitudes around here. Did I accidently get redirected to Wikipedia when I wasn't looking? Swaziland
Pointless, unfunny random-humour. (Don't be phased by the Canada template as Swaziland isn't a Canadian province anyway.) --Ogopogo 02:07, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
