What I tend to do with my nominations on VFD is search through short pages looking for articles which I think would not survive if they were created today. Although not everyone shares my view, I think that standards have changed over time at Uncyc, and that these days it's more difficult to get an article kept than it used to be. I'm my opinion, if this article were created today, it would get tagged with an ICU and a "short" fix message. This would give the author 7 days to improve it. If no progress were made after 7 days, I think it would probably be deleted. In cases similar to this before, where an active user is still around and wanted their article kept I would normally change my vote to keep. All this Uncyc stuff is just meant to be a bit of fun after all, and I get no enjoyment from upsetting people. In this case however, I just can't bring myself to do it. Agreed, there are some other very short articles on Uncyc, but most of those have already undergone a VFD trial, and have been proven to have wide appeal to a number of users. If you can find other short pages which have not been put on VFD before, and you think they are poor, PLEASE nominate them for VFD, and lets get rid of them. Considering that (In my opinion) more effort has probably now gone into this VFD nomination than was put into the article itself I think it might be best if you made a copy of this in your userspace, and worked on it some more there. When you are able to improve this article, and hopefully find a way to make the humor/humour more appealing to a wider audience I would love to see this back in the mainspace. Sorry dude. I hate to be a bastard about this, but I just don't think this article is close to being up to standard these days. I really hope you work on it some more, and look forward to seeing an improved.
