Missing presidents[edit]

Surely Oscar Wilde has been president for the last few years? THe man himself even said:

“Wow... he'd make a hawt president”

~ Oscar Wilde on Oscar Wilde

Last not least: Jefferson Davis, the fighter against the Yankee-Rebels!

Presidents[edit]

This list is too long for enjoyment, in my opinion. Should we cut out the presidents with no pages pertaining to them? --Darkdan 21:10, 10 Apr 2005 (EDT)

That might be a bit too harsh. How abouty deleting all presidents that have no other pages linking to them? Jayson Blair i.e. is linked from another entry so it should be saved. Angela Lansbury has no referring pages so should be deleted. --Lomedae 09:06, 11 Apr 2005 (EDT)

In light of the spate of recent edits and reverts, might I suggest that the admins lock this page? I can't see that there's really anything else to add here. Unless it's possible to just lock the list section, maybe. --Codeine 19:03, 25 July 2005 (BST)

Good idea. I'll lock it. --Darkdan 13:09, 26 Jul 2005 (UTC)

  • Is there anywhere to add Jake Featherston ? The article states he was the 31st 1/2 President. It might be better to change it to President of the United Spades, Armenia, the World, people who have claimed to be president (of a non-existant country), etc. however as I'm not the author of the article there's not much I can do. 205.188.117.10 04:44, 7 Sep 2005 (UTC)

New one each month[edit]

Here's an idea: Each month, people nominate a bunch of articles, and we vote on who becomes the next president. It'd be a fun thing to look forward too each month. -- Nintendorulez 23:29, 27 Sep 2005 (UTC)

No. Simply put, only a few of the current articles are fleshed out, or even go into any detail whatsoever. Some good examples of quality articles would be Charles Nelson Reilly, Calvin Coolidge even. And ofcourse George W. Bush and Bill Clinton. But the list has many more that have maybe 5 sentences, or a lot of stuff that is just crap. People should definately flesh these ones out and fix them up, rather then add more.Rangeley 01:38, 28 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Addition[edit]

Can someone please add

to the side? Rangeley 15:44, 2 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Sure can. --—rc (t) 16:24, 2 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Should add Al Gore, he was US president from Dec 8, 2000 - Dec 12, 2000
65.95.52.234 10:21, 13 Nov 2005 (UTC)

34th President[edit]

According to all newspapers I've seen, the 34th President was Thomas Dewey (ran against Harry S. Truman), not Billy Ocean. Can someone check on this? -- Nintendorulez 16:22, 15 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Actually, that was a highly publicised error, due to faulty exit polling and over eager newspapers. It was a close race, but Billy Ocean did infact win. Despite not running. Rangeley 01:02, 16 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Nadd[edit]

I'm just curious but the article Nadd claims Charles-Fiodor Nadd was the 49th President. While I don't suggest to add him to the list, would it be possible to add him as Vice President to Bill Clinton 2 or as the president of the United Spades, Armenia, World, etc. ? 134.241.43.254 22:38, 17 Oct 2005 (UTC)

It couldnt hurt to do. Just as a note, many articles wrongly claim someone to be a former President, such as Ronald Reagan, when we all know this to be entirely false. The list that is up now is the only true list. Rangeley 22:40, 17 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Date Fix[edit]

Its been bugging me that the years for these Presidents is wrong, and I think now is a good time to correct them.

  • Charles Neslon Reilly (1972-1993)
  • Bill Clinton (1993-2001)
  • George W. Bush (2001-2009)

The other years are unimportant since they are all made up, but as these are relevant to now it makes sense to atleast get the years right. Rangeley 00:15, 23 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Actual Presidents in uncyclopedia form[edit]

Given that the powers that be have made this the official list of US Presidents, is there a cannon way of dealing with the writing of pages on actual U.S. Presidents who aren't considered presidents based on this list? Can we just talk about them as presidents and let the inconsistancy be what it will? --Sarducci 21:05, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)

That actually raises a somewhat interesting question. Would it be better to keep the random list as it is, and ignore actual former presidents, or would it be better to have real former presidents be the list.

Both sides have ups and downs. The order we have now is random, which some people may find funny. But due to the fact it is random, there is a limited amount of things that can be said about people. There is no satire that can be added to them, as there is nothing to satire.

Having the real list would open the door to satire, and let us make fun of their policies, statements, accomplishments or lack thereof. It would also make more sense because people who are not familiar with the random list will try and access, lets say Gerald Ford. And to their horror, they find he wasnt actually elected President according to this. Well, thats a bad example since it is actually true, but you get what I mean.

Alternate reality can be funny sometimes, but perhaps what we have now is simply too far. As for my take on things, Id support going to a real list for Presidents pre George W. Bush, because I find Satire much funnier than total randomness. But I wouldnt have a problem with having the Presidents after Bush stay, the only problem this creates is in 2008 when we have a new President the list would need to change since Dick Cheney wont be President, but thats a ways off. So yea, perhaps we could get a vote or something going. Rangeley 21:47, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)

A possible idea would be to take the code of the Wikipedia template of actual U.S. presidents and turn it into an Uncyclopedia template of actual U.S. presidents but, in the Uncyclopedia spirit, designate on that template that the grouping of names is Non-Canonical Presidents of the United States, an Inaccurate Listing of U.S. Presidents, or something like that. --Ogopogo 22:10, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)

How about the use of sarcastarizer punctuation, and make the list of "Real" Presidents of the United States. I agree that while this list is amusingly absurdist, it restricts authors from writing actual satire about actual residents. Some of the stuff out there is real funny, like regan and Teddy. I also dont quite understand why we need a list with consistent dates. Isn't consistency anathema to uncyclopedia? Sarducci 12:49, 25 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Consistency is encouraged, as well as something Im trying to work for. But just for the heck of it, lets hold a vote here. Whether or not its results are implemented isnt up to me, but getting a general consensus could be useful Rangeley 16:19, 25 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Disambig Link ?[edit]

Would it possble to add a link to True List of United States Presidents or on Mythical United States Presidents ? MadMax 23:53, 29 Nov 2005 (UTC)

No... That list is basically a copy of Mythical United States Presidents. If someone wants to edit the Mythical list, they are free to, but making a bunch of new lists isnt really funny or helpful. ~Sir Rangeley Icons-flag-us.png GUN WotM UotM EGA +S (talk) 21:51, 30 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Actually what I meant was for a disambig link on either United States Presidents or Mythical United States Presidents, both of which are presently locked. With the exception of the page, the article is currently orphaned (although I think I have an idea where to link it) but there are getting to be quite a few "List of" as of late. It might be a good idea to consider a template for these articles. MadMax 06:27, 1 Dec 2005 (UTC)

15th President[edit]

Surely that was Kermit the Frog? - 212.219.116.67 16:38, 9 February 2006 (UTC)

Unlock this Page[edit]

I'd like to change one small thing here: "George W. Bush" --> "Dubya the Nut". Rickyrab 19:14, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

No. ~Sir Rangeley Icons-flag-us.png GUN WotM UotM EGA +S (talk) 20:03, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

HAH! Edit made anyway! fie on yu0r template! Rickyrab 02:40, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

I would like to add a president which might be worth our time: Lloyd Irving, who is notable for slaying the Disco King Mithos Yggdrasil. Flashn00b 05:30, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Pictures?[edit]

I made a template that lists all the presidents with pictures (if there were any; anyone without a picture has Image:whatshisname.jpg for the picture), although if this were to be used it would also have to be protected. Just a thought. -JBob 23:46, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

Good idea, I will put it up now. ~Sir Rangeley Icons-flag-us.png GUN WotM UotM EGA +S (talk) 00:54, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

It may be worth noting that the template is editable, which kind of defeats the purpose of having this article protected. Since some images of the presidents are missing and I can always post those on the talk page (here or there) if/when I find them. -JBob 05:50, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

On an unrelated note, can we change Bush (43)'s picture to this one (http://www.albany.edu/cancergenomics/faculty/stenenbaum/images/chimp.jpg)? I think it's more accurate.

Cat a gory[edit]

Howzabout someone with the l33t power to edit this page add "Category:Presidents". Droopy

George Denzel Washington[edit]

Dwashington.jpg The picture of George should be replaced with this one. --[citations needed] 00:27, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Could an admin remove the Killquote on the page?[edit]

I'd do it myself but the page is protected. --General Insineratehymn 02:30, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

Andrew Johnson[edit]

Andrew Johnson has a page now. Could you please link in article?

Clean up the nonsense[edit]

Can someone with admin powers please remove Optimus Prime, LE Johnson, Inanimate Sponge, and Al Gore from the list? --Mnb'z 17:13, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

NOOOOOOOOO! -Sockpuppet of an unregistered user 17:17, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Multilingual[edit]

What's the main reason this article needs to be unblocked? So we can add multilingual links. InMooseWeTrust 08:53, July 23, 2010 (UTC)

Hmm[edit]

I am quite puzzled as to why is not this fine president on the list. Further is the fact that I am flabbergasted that you have cut the chance of editing this page by 0. I must question as to why you cannot provide a meaningful explanation of this nonsense.
Sincerely,
