I'm unconvinced a white whale is a Batman character from 1942, and The Journey of The White Whale doesn't return plausible results in a web search. "Fly-over country" (in the template's heading) is about something; it's Rush Limbaugh's chronic term for conservative midland states that liberal governing elites disparage. Nominator has a good point, though; the actual "red" (=Republican) states is fluid, not worth revising, and hard to define (state legislature? Congressional delegation? Electoral Votes?). Recall that ChiefjusticeDS created {{USstates}} (from Britain) with a red/blue colo(u)r code of the US states that was flagrantly obsolete one election cycle later; we've changed this to DWWH's new coding and ditched the colo(u)rs. I do not know why I added this template to the initial revision of Possum Trot (nor why I also added {{VFD}}!) and will remove it straight away. Spıke 🎙️22:20 4-Dec-21

  1. Symbol delete vote.svg Delete. Was created on the same day as Template:Red States by the same editor, the template presumably being to navigate pages in said category. The template used to tag pages with the category, keeping them in sync, but the template and category have fallen out of sync. Nelson Mandela? He was in the country of South Africa). The author Mbanje has vanished after writing this stub. But, even if it's an important figure I'm unaware of, the humor is incoherent.
