    Oh, I've seen it. That's the one where the guy from Pink Cadillac runs around San Francisco hunting after a serial killer. The ending where Callahan realizes that individual justice (in the form of vigilanteism) instead of the sham of collective, societal justice, is the only moral route, I believe, was the beginning of modern (or at least 70's-centric) nihilism; where even the concept of justice itself is discarded, torn asunder in the face of an uncaring and corrupt universe, and replaced by simple, bloody, atavistic (and, in the end, equally unsatisfying) revenge. Jaws was the same way, but Dirty Harry got there first. Also, Jaws had a shark, and a guy who theorized partway through the film that he would need a bigger boat.
