Forum:Goodbye for now
I've been considering this for a while, and I think it's time to announce it.
I'm going on an indefinite sabbatical. How long will I be gone? I don't know. That's why I said "indefinite". Idiot. Sheesh.
Anyhow, I've been a lot less active anyway this school year, what with an increase in workload and activities. Even though summer is approaching, my free time isn't going to increase. I'm going to be concentrating my creative energies into other projects and I just won't have the juices left over to give anything to this site. Plus, I'm going to be in Chicago for a month, and they don't have internet there.
Just so you know, this has nothing to do with any drama that has been going on lately. I don't really pay close enough attention to that sort of stuff to care. But I do care about the site as a whole, and being here since just about the beginning, I've seen it transform from a little collection of nonsensical bullshit to a large collection of nonsensical bullshit. And by gum, I'm proud of it.
I'm not going to really be here or at #uncyclopedia very much at all, but if you e-know me outside of Uncyclopedia I'll still keep in touch, play InkLink, etc. It's not you. It's me. And my desire to let go of all my worldly possessions and roam the plains as a human buffalo.
Of course, once I decide being a human buffalo is stupid, I'll still want to retain my admin powers.
In conclusion, bye. --

- Political commentator: Well you'd have to say that deals a possibly fatal blow to the "STM 'n' Spang in '08" bandwagon. It's difficult to see the campaign recovering from this significant loss. STM's tireless lobbying skills and other significant qualities will be tough to replace, and you have to give BradaMo or whatever they call themselves the upper hand now. (Also, bye Mooses. We never really spoke, but y'know, good luck 'n' stuff). --SirU.U.Esq. VFH | GUN | Natter | Uh oh | Pee 10:06, Apr 29
- Such is the way of things... congratulations on managing to have a real life, something that many of us are still striving for. We'll miss you man, but we'll keep your room just as you left it. Like you'd died in a motorcycle accident or something. Just send us a postcard from time to time, y'hear? Love ya, bro. -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 10:40, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

Goodbye STM. You've left a biiiig mark on this wiki and good luck with whatever you do 'cept you don't need that cos you got da skillz. -- 14:49, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
- First: Congratulations on graduating to real life, Mooses. We love you and you're welcome back, because you're "Dabomb," "talented," or whatever the kids are calling it these days. I hope you survive Chicago. I understand they just had a major election there that was heavily contested and that they're having a recount and the police just raided the Democrats' headquarters and well, good luck with all that nonsense. Secondly, to everyone that's panicking just because quite possibly our finest writer is leaving, let's all keep in mind that we're being run with a collegiate atmosphere, and, well, kids graduate college to real life. The focus should be on bringing in quality recruits to our college, not whining about how our starting lineup were all picked in the first round of the real life draft. Just some thoughts.--<<>> 12:12, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

Good luck, I myself am thinking about spending more time in real life than the Internet. I already disabled my Facebook account, I got tired of dealing with griefers/trolls on their forums, and the games were getting on my nerves as they are advertising base and you have to buy stuff or fill out surveys to get bonus points in the game and add in a lot of people who aren't real friends but game friends who can help you out in the games and the facebook games are based on how many friends you have. Plus now people are forming fake groups and randomly trying to start flamewars between atheists and christians by pretending to be either and then using fallacies and personal attacks, you think the group is for something else or for a cause, but really some bored teenagers created it and decided to split up their friends into two different groups and each group take two different sides of the issue and start abusing people. Plus Facebook doesn't seem interested in investigating abuse reports or even spammers or people who post web sites that load infections onto your computer as part of a post that was looking serious but had a bogus link to an ad or virus. I know not all teenagers, atheists, christians are like that, but I refuse to be someone's plaything to be manipulated and abused, so I deny them the attention they want. But on here things are different, but like I said I got real life things I need to do. I've been disabled and out of work since 2002, and I am trying to get healthy again and at least start up a small business and work part-time. I write funny articles here for fun, and help others out, and maybe some people find it funny and it makes their day. But I need to start setting my priorities straight, the economy isn't going to get any better, oil and gas prices went up which caused higher food and beverages prices, and companies are laying off people and despite what Bush thinks, I seem to think we are in a recession and headed for a depression unless the next President decides to do a much better job than just keep printing up more money, and cause inflation to skyrocket. Seesh, this is really starting to depress me, but I think I need to work on doing what I can to get ready for the worst. --Lt. Sir Orion Blastar (talk) 00:24, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

In case of my leaving
I'm starting to think that leaving and staying off the Internet might be a good thing. I'm beginning to feel like Obi Won Kenobi, "I'm getting too old for this sort of thing" and getting ready to say to Darth Vader "If you strike me down, I'll become more powerful than you possibly can imagine." and become one with the force or something. I've been here since 2005, but feel I should be doing something more important with my life like the Moose says. Anyway some creative ideas of mine before I finally make a decision. Go with the US economy being bad, write a few UnNews articles. Talk about white people already leaving the USA for Canada and Europe, but say how everything is tied to the US Dollar and US Economy so it will catch up with them and give everyone another reason to hate the USA. Say things got so bad in the south, that Rednecks moved to Mexico because the economy was better in a reverse illegal immigration move. Then talk about how China owns the US Debt and will in 2012 cash in on it to buy out the southern states and coastlines as the PRA People's Republic of America and they run it as they run Tibet. Then the country formerly known as the USA converts to Communism and is known as the Soviet Republic of America under Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama, which ever one wins the Democratic nomination in June, my bets are on Hillary after Rev Wright is wrecking Obama's campaign and Obama is saying he doesn't have Wright as a pastor any more and finds his comments offensive. The last defense of liberty and freedom is the EU and Canada, and after the US pulled out of Iraq and Afghanistan because they couldn't afford the war, the Islamic terrorists took them over and joined forces with Iran, Syria, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Palestine and Lebanon to form the Islamic States of Allah and control most of the world's oil sources. But Al Gore invents Green technology that uses CO2 as fuel and emits O2, so all anyone has to do to fight global warming is wear a mask over their face to power their cars and exhale CO2 into the fuel tank. After that, go nuts, have World War III caused by a clone of Hitler created by Nazis in Brazil using stem cell research and he allies up with Hugo Chavez and other South American leaders to take on the world or something. --Lt. Sir Orion Blastar (talk) 01:47, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
