The primary auditions are closed. If you signed up here already, please direct yourself to the next phase of the contest.

Ok, here's the deal, I have been considering this for a while now, and I think I'm serious about it. I wish to start an Ouroboros-themed gospel/metal eBand. And I am looking for some members. If you can play any of the following instruments, our band could use your talents:

  • guitar (lead or rhythm)
  • bass guitar
  • drums
  • keyboard/piano
  • triangle

We could also use a female vocalist, and maybe a priest as well :-P If you would like to join, please add your name and the instrument you play, below.

Also, we need a name. So if you have any ideas for a band name, put them below the second header (please, keep to a minimum of five names per user). A prize will be awarded to the user or IP whose idea we choose. And thanks to Benson's House of Pancakes for their support throughout this endeavor. --Señor DiZtheGreat Honor me! CUN AOTM ( Worship me!) (Praise me!) (Join me!) AMEN! 18:35, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

The signup for the band, as well as name suggestions, are closed as of June 24th. If you really want to join, you may talk to me over IRC.

You used the word "Serpent" in one of yours. Yeah, that's about it. Ж Cake-eating Cave Monkey or was it a giant monster or a robot? 20:23, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Of course! I still acknowledge that He is better than me. I just wish more of His followers were still around. Unfortunately there are some people who still haven't seen the light yet. --Crazyswordsman...With SAVINGS!!!! (T/C) 13:55, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

  • This idea for a band name is much, much, much more incredibly long than User:The Humbled Master's idea for a band name and there's absolutely, positively, nothing he can do about it (can you believe it?). --Crazyswordsman...With SAVINGS!!!! (T/C) 13:52, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

  • Our Market Research Shows That People Listening Like Really Really Long Band Names So We Made This Idea To Be The Very Supert-Longest Idea For The Great Band Name Ever In The History Of The Universe Elemental Band Ultra-Band Cool Bigger Than The Humbled Master's Idea And Bigger That Crazyswordsman's Idea And It Includes My Sig In It And Is Really Really Big for Ouroboros And Parodies the Magic The Gathering Card Our Market Research Shows That Players Like Really Long Card Names So We Made This Card To Have The Absolute Longest Card Name Ever Elemental Marshal Uncyclopedian! Talk to me!
  • Well, our market research shows that if people have to like really, really, really long band names, they should make them much, much longer. This is so that the band can gain recognition from their fans without having to sell out to the RIAA, and so that people who otherwise would hate the band (i.e. BENSONites and Contents lovers) would begin to love the band without having to compromise their integrity and their disagreements with DiZ and Uncyclopedian. Also, it's too bad sigs don't count in long band names, especially if the sig was a ripoff of Ghelae's sig. There's no reason why a band can't have a name this long, so why the hell is everyone complaining about it? I mean come ON. What's so much cooler than having the record (bad pun intended) for the longest band name? Fuck the RIAA! Fuck the establishment! Our band will have the longest name in the world and there's absolutely, positively NOTHING you can do about it unless you want us to kick your ass! And even then it won't change the name! Come on! Just TRY us. We DARE you! We're standing right here, waiting for you to do it. Come on. I don't have all day, you know. I have places to be! --Crazyswordsman...With SAVINGS!!!! • 'Twas Brillig, And The Slithy Toves Did Gyre And Gimble In The Wabe. All Mimsy Were The Borogoves, And The Mome Raths Outgrabe. Beware The Jabberwock, My Son, The Jaws That Bite And The Claws That Catch. Beware The Jub-Jub Bird And Shun The Frumious Bandersnatch. He Took His Vorpal Sword In Hand, Long Time The Manxome Foe He Sought. So Rested He 'Neath The Tum-Tum Tree, And Stood Awhile In Thought. And As In Uffish Thought He Stood, The Jabberwock, With Eyes Of Flame, Came Whiffling Through The Tulgey Wood, And Burbled As It Came! One-Two! One-Two! And Through And Through The Vorpal Blade Went Snicker-Snack. He Left It Dead, And With Its Head He Went Fontaining Back! And Hast Thou Slain The Jabberwock, My Son? Come To My Arms, My Beamish Boy! O Frubjous Day! Calloo! Callay! He Chortled In His Joy. 'Twas Brillig, And The Slithy Toves Did Gyre And Gimble In The Wabe. • ‘Twas four-in-the-noon, and the slimy hogs Did circle and dig holes in the plot, All flimsy were the mopping-birds, And the far-from-home pigs gave snot. Beware the Dragonlord, my son! The jaws, they bite! There’s no denial! Beware the Dino-bird, and shun The horrible Crocodile! He took his sharpened sword in hand: Long time the hidden foe he sought-- So rested he by the great Gum tree, And stood awhile in thought. And, as in pleasant thought he stood, The Dragonlord, with eyes of flame, Came soaring through the silent wood, And roared now, as it came! One, two! One, two! And through and through The sharpened blade went snip and snap! He left it dead, and with its head He did a trotting lap. Now, have you killed the Dragonlord? Run to my arms, my dearest boy! O glorious day! Hurroo! Hurray! He sang out in his joy. ‘Twas four-in-the-noon, and the slimy hogs Did circle and dig holes in the plot, All flimsy were the mopping-birds, And the far-from-home pigs gave snot. Extension

I am taking a break, so I've decided to extend the contest and auditions to the 24th to account for this and other unforseen circumstances. I'll still check back every once in a while. I might not even be back fully on the 24th. Please continue adding your names and ideas as you were, and I will get back to you in due time. --Señor DiZtheGreat Honor me! CUN AOTM ( Worship me!)
