Flooding VFD

That's bad. Very bad. What's worse is that Zombiebaron deleted a lot of those articles on the spot. The Lounge is a waitlist for the Democratic Process, not QVFD. Well if he does get made admin (he's behind with his bribes currently) then we will probably go with someone who has been and is currently very active on VFD. Though you are a great user EMC, I'm not sure you are around VFD enough.

Active Poopsmiths

That is a safe bet. Add yourself in, if you wish! The date header, at this point, ought to have a year number! There is no backlog at VFD, and I wonder if this page has a function, except to give a stage to people who can't understand how to nominate articles on VFD (a process that is about to become simpler). You're right. It doesn't. I should've seen the {{Historical}} template on the top of the page. BTW I'd love to add myself in but the rules prohibit VFD regulars to become poopsmiths. --Mimo&Maxus (Talk) 10:32, October 15, 2013 (UTC)

Please add yourself anyway. "Regular" is a relative term, and the rule was meant to keep people from filling VFD to the limit of 20 and then hogging the Poopsmith's Lounge as well. If you are willing to put this page on your Watchlist, and carry nominations to VFD when warranted, that would be useful! Spıke Ѧ 11:03 15-Oct-13

I don't think Frosty counts as a 'smith any more, being an admin and all. But a 'smith probably should be a VFD regular - that way they'd be more familiar with how the deletion process works. That rule is more for non-poopsmiths adding articles to the lounge. (I seem to recall being made a poopsmith once. Wait a minute. The job Sycamore did at the Poopsmith's Lounge was talk to people who wanted to delete articles when VFD was full. (Sycamore, by the way, was one of the biggest opponents of deleting anything. So a typical function of this page is to show noobies how pages might be repaired rather than deleted at all.) The job of a VFD poopsmith, in contrast, is now described at Uncyclopedia:Votes for deletion/For Admins--primarily moving entries from the pages to their archives, creating new archives, and documenting the outcome in the case a page was kept. Great! Thank you! One thing though, Uncyclopedia:Votes for deletion/For Admins does not really define how much time should I wait before I close a nomination. The only rule for such occasions is to "wait at least 24 hours before you proceed in any action", a rule which I personally find very indefinite. You should not do that at all. Closing a nomination unfavorably to the article is left to Admins because it is followed immediately by deletion(s); and closing a nomination otherwise is left to Admins because it is indeed subjective and variable, usually resulting from lack of consensus after a sufficient amount of time, and both the number of voters and the speed of VFD vary. To be clear, the duties for poopsmiths are those in "For Admins" in the section "Poopsmithing". I am thinking about adding instructions on how to create a new archive file, for which it is almost time; this is a useful Poopsmithing function. Spıke Ѧ 13:15 16-Oct-13

Two notes: (1) I ask Simsilikesims, who created the last archive, what her criterion is on when it is time to do so. (2) Your edit to the current archive is useful. However, if the changes that PuppyOnTheRadio is proposing take effect, new stuff on VFD would be at the bottom, and maybe the newest stuff in the archive would want to be at the bottom too.
