At least those that work for IGN get 20 bucks.

SAN FRANCISCO, California -- UnNews stands accused of underpaying its employees.

The charge was made Thursday by a personnel representative from IGN. The infotainment giant announced it would pay $20 to team members for each story they write. The offer was broadcast on Reddit, a service that many of the world's most creative people scan for employment, whenever the Internet signal is strong down in the basement.

UnNews proudly pays its creative staff "bupkus", which works out to $0, per story. The average U.S. hourly wage is $29. The comparison rankled many members of Congress. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was the first to demand that UnNews staff receive a "living wage". "Just look at it! It's got plenty of...templates, and margins, and other stuff like that," she said. "At least at the bar, we got tips." Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) chimed in. "UnNews has never paid its fair share. After all, they didn't build that! The Department of Defense invented the Internet, you know." There is a palpable risk that UnNews, and Uncyclopedia at large could fall under the cancel culture for its chronic stinginess. No one would accept the absence of revenue, advertising, sign-up fees, and high-quality content as an excuse for the low pay.

UnNews Editor-in-Chief Morris Greeley now has wage pressure to add to the recent wave of suicides — unless the low pay is the cause of the suicides, in which case he would have only one problem.
