Red Shirts blast Thai PM for trying to make good image |

BANGKOK, Thailand -- The appointment of former prime minister Anand Panyarchun and senior citizen Praves Wasi to head national reform related panels was just a ploy to create good image for the government, spokesman of the opposition Red Shirt Party said on Sunday afternoon. “They should be trying to create a bad image, like us!”
Red Shirt mouth-piece, Mr. Prompong, pointed out that Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva had just lured the two old respected and much loved senior people of the country to work on national reform to help reduce political pressure caused by red-shirt anarchists.
“The prime minister has also deceived Thai people by creating a hope that there would be true peace and happiness. The fact is that the government wanted to turn the public sentiment in favor of the order of law enforcement against anarchy at Ratchaprasong intersection”, the spokesman said.
He accused Mr. Abhisit of having no sincerity in bringing about national disunity or in continuing the current political chaos.
In addition, the government was planning to use the panels for national reforming and reconciliation to justify its ploy to stay in power until the next election, he added.
Mr. Prompong called on the government to firstly deform and disgrace itself by stopping the hunting down of red-shirts terrorist leaders, quitting all law enforcement, and not allowing the judicial process to find the people responsible for the damage during recent Red Shirt political mayhem.
“Our motto is, “Apocalypse Now!” said Mr. Prompong, on behalf of the Red Shirts anarchists. “But the Thai PM wrongly loves peace and harmony!”
