How do I re-nominate a failed article after it has been revised?[edit]
Question is self-explanatory. This comment as well as the comment explaining it are completely irrelevant. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Projectjulio (talk • contribs)
- Just nominate it as "Article name (2nd nom)" or a something similar. - T.L.B. WotM, UotM, FPrize, AotM, ANotM, PLS, UN:HS, GUN 18:54, Mar 12
How exactly does a nominated article fail/feature?[edit]
Is there like a time limit, and if it has positive votes at the end of that period, it's featured? How does it work?--68.63.145.190 21:13, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
- Every once in a while, an admin will take a look at VFH. If we're in need of articles to fill the queue, we'll feature the one or two with the highest votes, and at equally random intervals we'll take the one or two articles with the lowest health off VFH. Pages with a score of -3 or less usually get taken off right after they bottom out. - T.L.B. WotM, UotM, FPrize, AotM, ANotM, PLS, UN:HS, GUN 23:07, Feb 26
IP[edit]
It's still half a vote for IP addresses, isn't it? There's no instruction to that effect anywhere on the page. Sir Roger 06:02, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
- Ooops. That's true....good catch. Unfortunately, you're going to have to yell at an admin to get it done.-Sir Ljlego, GUN VFH FIYC WotM SG WHotM PWotM AotM EGAEDM ANotM + (Talk) 19:27, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
- Those rules are shown when you first nominate an article. I suppose that doesn't do much good for that rule. I'll add a link to the rules somewhere. • Spang • ☃ • talk • 05:26, 06 Aug 2007
I know I've had to re-count the votes when IPs vote, and update the vote-count accordingly. They keep giving themselves full votes. Dumb buggers. EugeneKay wuz here (whine thank) 04:37, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
PLS[edit]
Are PLS winners eligible for a VFH nomination? P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon (Tick Tock) (Contribs) 02:02, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yes. And they're encouraged.-Sir Ljlego, GUN VFH FIYC WotM SG WHotM PWotM AotM EGAEDM ANotM + (Talk) 02:16, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
Top 3 - July[edit]
I'm unclear as to why the top 5 are listed for July when there was no tie for third - there was a tie for second, but that still gives you three articles without having to add more. Sir Roger 02:01, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
- Because Mhaille told me to. Eh?-Sir Ljlego, GUN VFH FIYC WotM SG WHotM PWotM AotM EGAEDM ANotM + (Talk) 02:36, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
- Fix'd. • Spang • ☃ • talk • 07:44, 20 Aug 2007
- Actually, how about we do it this way? I go into the history and do the Top 3 from when the vote was supposed to close? Then there's no tie.-Sir Ljlego, GUN VFH FIYC WotM SG WHotM PWotM AotM EGAEDM ANotM + (Talk) 14:35, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
- How about you go back to an alternate history where the dinosaurs don't go extinct? That'd be cool. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 16:34, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
- No way, we'd all squished or eaten! Haven't you seen Jurassic Park? P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon (Tick Tock) (Contribs) 16:37, Aug 20, 2007
- You're no fun. They'd get all the fat people first. Then they'd get all tired and have to take a nap. Then we put saddles on 'em. Dino-cowboy, wooo! Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 16:41, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Suggestion to Replace the Darwin Rule[edit]
There is currently a discussion in place on whether or not to keep the Darwin Rule or replace it with one of three challengers here. Please read the discussion before voting. -Tritefantastic 16:35, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
Low votes....again[edit]
I noticed that VFH votes seem to be rather low lately. FA-quality pages aren't getting featured, or are doing so really really slowly. After conservation week, can we put up a template that tells people to vote for VFH, like we had a while back? P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon (Tick Tock) (Contribs) 05:46, Sep 3, 2007
- Perhaps if we can get that marginally less annoying sitenotice-above-the-tabs they have at wikipedia now, we could put a message in there about VFH voting. • Spang • ☃ • talk • 06:26, 03 Sep 2007
- It'd be nice. My HP is low. --THINKER 06:28, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
Giga Bowser[edit]
Lulz. Apparently I closed this VFH failure. I'm going to guess that the script looks at the last editor of a page, and that I edited it after Ljlego failed it, but before he locked it? Just looks odd as funk. I likey. EugeneKay wuz here (whine thank) 04:37, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I was confused about that, then remember it does just show the last editor, and assumes nobody edited it after it closed. Too much trouble to fix it though! • Spang • ☃ • talk • 10:07, 05 Sep 2007
Can I re-nom Macau?[edit]
Can I re-nom Macau? I have done alot of work on it since it was rejected so is it possible to re-nom? --Moneke 12:58, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, just as long as it got pee'd. Remember when you're typing in the nom, to type in Macua (2nd nomination)--Sir Manforman 13:11, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
Whole Votering[edit]
Can an admin please add a blurb in the instruction box about registered users only being allowed to vote in whole numbers (ie. no .5 votes)? Only IPs are .5s, unless policy has changed without my knowledge. --THINKER 18:17, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

Christmas feature[edit]
I assumed Donner was going to be our Christmas feature this year, but it's on the main page today. Can we re-feature it on the 25th, or is there something special planned that I don't know about? -- 15Mickey20 (talk to Mickey) 17:36, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Where's it gone, then?[edit]
I say...I nominated my anti-intellectualism article earlier today, but now it's dissapeared, and it's not on recently failed or feature queue. It's not even in the edit history. What gives? BlueYonder 17:05, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
- There were some problems with lag on the server causing problems on VFH, VFP and lagging on recent changes. sannse got our friends at Wika to give the server a kick in the balls and it should be working again now... MrN Fork you! 18:45, Jul 17
Wrong category (help please?)[edit]
Wanted Kenny Rogers in votes for deletion, not nominate for featured article (article sucks). Can some mod reverse this, please? --Just!n 00:21, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
bad English grammar = humour?[edit]
I didn't understand the "1nd Al Gore, 2rd..." . Actually for correct grammar it would be "1st Al Gore, 2nd...". Gnetter 08:44, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

- Yeah, we could do that. But we could also change our name to Wikipedia and start accepting factual content. Modus got it in one, so this comment is largely redundant. -- Hindleyite Converse 12:29, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
Not Appearing?[edit]

- What are you talking about? And who are you even talking to? O_o
~ 16:34, 17 October 2011
- Probably some thing that was mentioned on a template a while ago. The one TKF made about nomming/voting like hell. Anyway, it was removed a couple weeks ago so it's pretty irrelevant now.
- But still...it was there for a reason! --Scofield & The Machine 12:11, October 19, 2011 (UTC)
- I must have missed that. Was it bad? Have we fallen to insufficient levels? I thought someone said Uncyclopedia was almost full.

Goal 20 votes? Sounds like too much[edit]
Hey, I'm skeptical we'll ever get to average 20 votes per article. I guess it depends on how willing people are to vote. Maybe we should create ads on Google. -- This has been an automated message by Cute Zekrom (talk) 00:17, April 18, 2012 (UTC)
I suggest we reduce the goal to ten votes, since that's basically what an article needs to pass VFH, anyway. ~jcm 00:44, April 18, 2012 (UTC)
- Great idea! -- This has been an automated message by Cute Zekrom (talk) 22:54, April 18, 2012 (UTC)
Randomly change the featured article on the home page[edit]
I suggest that we will use the old featured articles, mixing with the newly voted articles on the main page. Megalo Kirito (talk) 09:44, February 10, 2015 (UTC)
