Keep. I voted Keep in October 2014 and author improved it somewhat. It is a pretty vital page that suffers from Randomness Syndrome of its own, not hard to fix. It also has lots of fun Harrison Ford fandom such as blurring this with his other characters. Spıke 🎙️13:54 6-Mar-16
- One of the eternal issues with Uncyclopedia is that good articles that happen to have hard-to-find names are forgotten while mediocrity fills the most regularly searched term for a subject. While I agree that it is a vital subject, if a decent writer ever comes up with a good idea it can be written, but a redirect to (admittedly I'm biased) the other Indiana Jones article will suffice. This was done with the Jason Bourne article. --Nikau (talk) 07:20, March 7, 2016 (UTC)
|
Comments |
- My problem with it is that the whole thing is so rambling and incoherent that whatever attempt there was at humor about Ford's other characters is buried. The opening paragraph has both war-cruft and immature homophobia, not to mention the classic *badass syndrome*. From there, you get a comment about Lucas having sex with Jolie and then a "joke" about virginity. The 5th section has a shaggy dog tale about a monkey statue, but there's no punchline or humorous outcome. He just throws away the statue for some reason. All in all, I've seen significantly better articles deleted; this is best described as banal prose punctuated by immaturity masquerading as "humor". --Nikau (talk) 07:34, March 7, 2016 (UTC)

- Delete. An article on an invented army has a high bar to meet, and it has to do so promptly, but this one starts by throwing random crap at the reader. A single also-known-as in the first line fatigues the reader: I don't care about alternative names for a fake army you have not yet given me a reason to care about! By the time we get to the list of weapons and the script for the movie trailer, it is clear that the various authors just wanted to write a fan-fiction, history-of-the-future comic book. Nothing ties it together, not even penguins. (By comparison, Nudist is tied together with penguins.) Spıke 🎙️22:16 11-Apr-16

- Delete. Not much needs to be said... Mahdi I. A. (2011) "Tajikistan", p. 1... In the beginning Khuda created the Heaven and the Earth in his masturbation. However the earth was only a float of semens and very nasty. So the penis of Khuda moved upon the face of his piss. And Khuda said: “Let there be Penis”, and there was a white penis erected from Heaven to Earth ,which Khuda later called Light. Khuda saw the white penis, thought it was good, then he cut off white penis and planted it on Earth to create humans. Afterwards Khuda took a dump, his shit grew larger, then there was the Land of Calradia. --Nikau (talk) 04:48, March 6, 2016 (UTC)

- Delete. Uncyclopedian Some bloke in 2008 set out not to write original comedy but to document his annoyance with Google Translate entirely through the use of example output. Machine translation is the primary reason why "artificial intelligence" is an oxymoron, so he's not telling us anything we don't know. It is no surprise that using Google to flog a paragraph through seven languages and back will garble the meaning. Nor, given the vagaries of natural languages, does it even mean the service is as bad as claimed. Spıke 🎙️21:51 7-Apr-16
