| Uncyclopedia implements funny ban |
6 December 2025
CANBERRA, Australia -- As the Australian Government bans everyone under the age of 16 from all social media platforms, Uncyclopedia admins have implemented their own ban on editors — no funny people allowed.
"How can we rival Wikipedia in this social economic climate," one Uncyclopedia admin stated. "When everyone thinks we're a parody of it?"
Before, when a person wanted to "write funny", they would make an account and that would be it. Now, when signing up, the new Artificial Intelligence (called UnAI) in charge of policing edits (and editors) will run a full background check, including credit score, parking fines, bank statements, overdue movie rentals, medical history, and all previous years Spotify Wrapped.
"I've been here since 2009," one editor told UnNews. "And now I have to prove that I can't write funny, even though all I do is clean up broken templates."
A group of funny editors have tried to circumvent bans by writing shaggy dog jokes into articles, hoping that bumbling in the style of Norm Macdonald would confuse the UnAI into thinking it was a perfectly normal, unfunny article.
