President-Elect Ron Paul

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – Libertarians across America celebrated the election of Ron Paul, the 53 year-old Representative from Texas's 22nd district, to the Presidency of the United States.

In a massive post-election party in front of a crowd of nearly 500, Paul thanked supporters and offered warm promises of eliminating all fire departments within two years in office.

"This is my moment," Paul began. "This is my time. No other moment in history has ever offered me a such a position of power. Tonight, America chose Paul."

"Paul is on the way," he concluded.

Despite Obama's sweep of the Electoral College, Paul, identifying himself as "The People's Choice," rejects the validity of such polls, pointing towards a massive cover-up which replaced Paul's name with Obama's on all state ballots. President-Elect Paul plans to attend the presidential inauguration on January 20th, 2009, where he will swear himself in place of Obama.

Ardent Paul supporters back his claims of a biased election process. "Ron Paul really is the people's choice," said Nathan Snyder, a newly-registered voter from Indiana. "It's just no one realizes it. The revolution really truly is a success."

Both Obama and Sen. John McCain were not available for comment.
