Windows Vista Needs Your Permission to Use the Following Device: Mouse[edit]
Whatever happened to this image? It's a lot more funny and subtle than the DooM one. We should replace the DooM one with it.SteveSims 23:11, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
- Nevermind. I get the DooM one now.SteveSims 22:43, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
- combine the Keybourd and mouse ones. HAH! you're fucked now!. 58.169.71.7 11:33, July 23, 2010 (UTC)
The Beryl screenshot[edit]
OK, let me clarify this.
Those who are familiar with Beryl and Vista will recognize the joke outright.
Those who aren't will mostl likely click the screenshot to zoom... and see that it isn't actually Vista at all. As well as the "f" logo. And then they'll be like... "Wow, what kind of OS is this that has features like that?"

well, that's not true, because linux needs windows to run under it: http://talkback.zdnet.com/5208-12355-0.html?forumID=1&threadID=31199&messageID=579806&start=43 Wookieface 19:56, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Considering that Uncyclopedia is an encyclopedia of misinformation, it is clear that is not a screenshot of Vista. I recognize this as Beryl on Fedora, as my Fedora 6.91 desktop looks exactly like this. Most users will not recognize this as Beryl, but should be able to tell it is not Vista. 71.175.189.10 23:33, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
Gotta love the beryl screenshot! Go linux!
Windows Vista vs Mandrive Linux[edit]
Link to source must be added (it is on russian language)
- Yes, this is where I took it from. - Sir Sikon [formerly known as Guest] 13:16, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
The Vista image[edit]
Why is the logo of Vista upside-down? Doesn't seem to be related to anything, just random.
- Because it looks almost exactly the same upside-down. - Sir Sikon [formerly known as Guest] 07:39, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
russia[edit]
I couldn't help noticing this article has no Russian reversal. Something along the lines of "In soviet Russia, Vista pirates YOU!" would seem okay. Any other suggestions?
“In Soviet Russia, Vista deinstalls YOU!!”
Now, that is funny
Acronym[edit]
I suggest to add: VISTA - Viruses, Intruders, Spyware, Trojans, Adware
- then add it Sir Severian (Sprich mit mir!)
- I had added some edits that included that as an image, but it was taken down as 'unfunny' *shrug* Take a look and also at a real ad that went wrong. -- Limulus 04:43, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
- I've added them back in; we'll see if they last. Also, I note that my additions to the history section from October 4 were removed by SteveSims and when I added them back, Andorin Kato took them out again. I don't particularly feel like getting into an edit war against two people. Here are my edits if anyone feels like adding them back in later. -- Limulus 17:48, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
After giving birth to Windows XP and Windows Server 2003, Microsoft got knocked up again. The developing fetus was nicknamed "Longhorn" but Microsoft miscarried (some rumors say Bill Gates forced Microsoft to have an abortion) in 2004. Soon however, Microsoft was pregnant again and in the beginning of 2007 gave birth to Windows Vista. Vista had several birth defects (including cleft palate), which are scheduled to be corrected with Service Pack 1. Vista is also known by her nicknames, "Me 2" and "Edsel".
Microsoft forcefully edits uncyclopedia page[edit]
Why has this article been comprimised by Microsoft and protected from editing? Its pretty obvious considering the criticisms sub section has been changed to give an exact Microsoft statement on operating system copyrights. This whole webpage is written by Microsoft with the odd word added by the admin to give off the impression that it is still funny. This page ain't funny anymore. And who the hell has the right to lock a friggin wiki? It contradicts the meaning of a wiki if it is uneditable. Duhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! It basically goes against what this website stands for. They must be so desperate to market this software that they've forcefully deleted all negative opinions of it off as many websites as they can get they're hands on. I'm all pissed off.
wtf[edit]
Was this article written by microsoft or something? It sucks! Windows vista sucks and is criticised, so this article should really be written better than this. Why is it protected? I have some great ideas for this page so can someone unprotect it plz. Thx.
we NEED to add this youtube[edit]
No doubt of that
File:Windows did not steal ideas from Mac OS X!
Its true, Vista didn't steal ieas from MAC OS X
- Its under external video links :) -- Limulus 04:37, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
Add/Change[edit]
Someone can change the first par from:
... resulting in a system that takes information management to a new level — a system that can manage the user's information better than the user itself.
to:

Thanks in advance. --MarkJava 21:38, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
The new Vista Anytime upgrade pack.[edit]
I photoshopped the Vista Anytime Upgrade pack box and came up with this:
==
Headline text[edit]
==
Quote[edit]
I suggest adding this quote:
"Windows has blocked some startup programs" Vista on everything
Making fun of M$'s Minimum vs. Recommended requirements[edit]
I suggest moving the Roadrunner-2TB RAM-etc. from "Minimum Requirements" to "Recommended by Microsoft" and adding a "Minimum Requirements" section before with the following content :
- Pentium 133
- 128 MB of RAM
- 5 GB of free disk space, for minimal setup
- 56k dialup access to Internet
- Any keyboard or mouse
- 8 capacitors for backup. Vista supports Microsoft's patented compression technology so that anything will fit onto 1 byte.
Or something else, or doing nothing if you think this is not funny or just another "M$ sucks" proposal.
i doctored the vista plane in-flight image[edit]
i gave the Image:Windows_Vista_plane.jpg file a flame job using gimp. I feel that it more properly represents the user experience with that p.o.s. HOPE Y'ALL LIKE IT!!
