Talk:The Poor
I AM VERY ANGRY[edit]
I think that this is a highly offensive article and it should be removed. I myself am Welsh, and I take issue with the notion that we all eat leek sandwiches. We do no such thing, boyo. We eat cheese on toast. That leek sandwich thing is just a crude racial stereotype. Bloody nonsense. Sincerely, Taffy Jones, The Singing Miner.
AT LAST![edit]
...someone comes out and says it! It's GOOD to be rich. Well, comfortable. Why should I feel bad just because I spend every hour god sends running my highly successful cement mixer leasing company? Why should I spend night after night waking up at three in the morning screaming because I dreamed yet again of being thrown into a cement mixer by some Scotsmen? From now on, I tell you, I'll walk down the high street yelling "I am rich! Well, comfortable! And I don't care!" at the top of my voice. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Humour: | 7 | It's funny. It could be funnier with some polishing. |
Concept: | 8 | It's Swift all over again, but...hmmm. Let me think about this. |
Prose and formatting: | 8 | Well-written, as always. "'Or not so fine', joke some, but they are now disposed of in an unmarked grave, so I doubt I need concern myself with 'jokes' in the future" might profit from rewriting. ("joked some", for instance). |
Images: | 8 | The sepia photo is a screamer. The moneyed Superman is OK. |
Miscellaneous: | 8 | This is a good piece. I think it needs a certain something, but without some ponderation I'm not sure how to express it. I have to go away and do some life-skills things now (I neglect tasks like micturation when I am Uncycing heavily) so I will think about it. |

Merging with The Poor[edit]
I really believe The Poor stands alone as an article and can't be merged. If it were to be merged, it would conflict with the narrative terribly. The difference in the prose attained from merging is just so choppy, and the difference in concept is large as well. This effectively juxtaposes the two merged articles in a far from good way, and I request the two to be unmerged. -- 22:08, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
