- Undeleted: continue voting. By posting, certain copyrights are given up and content comes under our license and, as such, author request is not reason enough to cause the unilateral deletion of an article. --Sir gwax (talk) 21:36, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
- It's fortunate then that you weren't a sysop when UtarEmpire asked for his articles to be deleted. So happens, I disagree with your narrow interpretation, as well as your tendency to act on your own, such as your similarly narrow-minded recent change to the front page, despite the feelings of several admins. ~ T. - Honor Request: I am never happy to see that a writer has given up on Uncyclopedia, especially because one feels unwelcome. That has happened, or at least been in danger of happenning, too often recently in my opinion. That said, however, I think that we should honor the wishes of our writers so long as they have valid reasons, which I believe is the case here. True, we are not compelled to do so, and true, anyone else may still legally copy the article, but we need to think of this as an extra assurance to our writers that we will take care of them. I would hate to see other writers be reticent to contribute because we had not served previous writers well. If ever I had a serious issue that caused me to decide to withdraw my own writings, I would hope to have that request honored. I think we should do the same here. ---Rev. - There's an important detail here: the reality of John Cage is a whole lot funnier than the reality of The Punisher, so it requires less bending of the truth to get humor. I'm sorry that one of your first attempts at an article got nuked; it's something that's happened to almost everyone here (more than a few times for me). - I'm sorry I don't get the John Cage joke at all. The Punisher was made funny because I connected the skull on his chest to being a pirate, and I made him originally a hippie that didn't like violence, not really true of the real comic book Punisher, but it added an irony to the story which made it funny. Like he was going to devote his life to peace, feeding the hungry, helping the poor, before his family was gunned down by criminals. In any case I left you a message on your talk page. --Lt. Homestar Runner
- Keep: It was NRVed and then deleted but I liked it a bunch so I undeleted it and am putting it up here. While I admit that the article isn't the best one out there, I would like to point out that for anyone who knows them both, the juxtaposition of Homestar Runner and Jerkcity is one of the funniest things ever made. While it appears as though all of the comics were created by simply photoshopping Homestar into Jerkcity comics, I feel that such an action is a work of comic genius. Beyond that, I would love it if someone could write an article that was worthy of Homestar, Jerkcity and the bastard amalgamation of the two that someone has seeded. - Thanks for the defense everyone. The joke is that it reads like Finnegans Wake, uses some of the same devices (the recurring initials HCE and ALP, several languages, words that can be read in a multitude of ways), discusses similar topics (but usually leanin' toward sex and masturbation), and now you've fortified the joke because, like the Wake, it was oft misunderstood. So thanks for bringing it here... --Imrealized 19:46, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

*DELETE by decree of page author - Well, I've been here for approximately a week and a half... some of you have been really kind and welcoming and I thank you sincerely. But others evidently have a deep-rooted problem with me and, aside from that, will not talk to me honestly, like a human being. So I am now departing (yea... you've won! How grand for you!) but can't see why, if I am such a horrible person, told that "the cabal" is against me and have someone like Sir Dawg, who I've never had any interaction with at all, say they are "strongly against" me as a contributor, when in the short time I've been here I've been, in my mind, near prolific, I don't see why those types of people should benefit from my work. Please, I implore you, to vote DELETE please. Thank you. --Imrealized 05:03, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

Much like Finnegan's Wake, I gave up reading it about 3/4 of a page into it, but that is no reason not to keep it, so I would say strong keep, except for the fact that the author would like it removed and I think that if s/he cannot be convinced otherwise, we should honor the request. ---Rev.
