Abstain. As our Barack Obama is the result of deliberate work by the Colonizers, I have always been happy for our less accomplished writers to hack away at this other alternative. However, the footnote-heavy Intro sets the stage: This article will not make you laugh but is a battleground between pro-Obama and anti-Obama editors. The parts that direct readers away to other websites for evidence/proof are overt advocacy and should be removed. Other notorious flubs ("57 states") that conservatives use to prove that Obama is ignorant can easily be turned into fun jokes but should not be used to prove that Obama is ignorant; that's advocacy too. I rewrote the intro on this one rather than userspacing it just yet. The rest of the article continues to ramble on about Cliff Burton, Geddy Lee and the DeLorean, and some other unfunny rants:
"Geddy Lee's mother,Mona Lisa, swallowed a compacted bass guitar, and 9 months later,Geddy was born with a bass in his hand and singing about Tom Sawyer and how he was a working man.He then taught a not even born Cliff Burton to play bass, saving the world from the homophobic time traveling 47 string guitarist-Jason Bourne-from destroying the world with his Marshall amp,as the world was not ready for the sound of Total Apocalyptiv Metal. As Cliff plugged in to his shoebox amp and his G-Bass Flux Capacitor in hand, given to him by Geddy,He was instantly defeated because Jason was too good for him. Bourne then played "(Anestesia) Pulling Teeth" with Cliff's bass and had sex with your mom To ensure that Leo Fender would be born,he then time traveled to the year 1983,where he PWn3d the fuck out of Ron McGovernment and Joined the group Metallica and then felt bad for beating cliff so he saved him again and let Burton replace him" - ConCass2 (talk) 15:39, November 14, 2015 (UTC)

As stated, much potential. Also very funny, all votes against which claim it has bad humor clearly don't understand humor or have a bad taste. If the reason this should be deleted is because of bad humor, humor is subjective, so that reason should NOT stand. This type of article is what makes the UncyclopediA great, why remove the heart of it for a few people's personal preferences? Pecola1 (talk) 21:22, November 17, 2015 (UTC)
Once again, nominator is supposed to comb the history for a better version, and author Silophant's final 2007 edition omits much of the vandalism. Unfortunately, even in that version, Captain Obvious gives away the joke (a pretty clever one, in fact) on the article's first line, and the most memorable thing in the first screenful is author calling attention to the fact that he is writing in HTML--that is, he can't make his point without including stage direction. This one might be trivial to save. Spıke๐๏ธ02:51 21-Oct-15
Emostein (pronounced: AHM-o-STEEN) is a pretty clear reference to Young Frankenstein. There's an element of humor, but it was stolen from another source. Cg097 (talk) 19:39, November 10, 2015 (UTC)
You know this Stein/Steen joke is derived from the unrelated American composers Elmer Bernstein and Leonard Bernstein. The former insisted he was BERN-steen and the other was BERN-stein but not unexpectedly, people would get it wrong. --RomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ยฎ 13:32, November 12, 2015 (UTC)
The vote is deadlocked, but neither Keep voter talking about "potential" has shown us how, and I am reluctant to close the vote and return this page to forgetfulness. So, what have we got? "Have you heard about Emo Grass?" "No; what about Emo Grass?" "It cuts itself!" That is the entire comedy concept. You can try to stretch this in clever directions, but you ought not just use it as a springboard to randomness. The problem is that the page name depends on someone knowing the above joke; it is not anything in real life that someone would look up independent of this joke; if he does, he needs to get more for his effort than just the joke he already knows, plus some blather. That is the challenge before you. PS--Cg097, one can reference classic comedy without stealing it, if one does something original with it. Bass guitar steals the "double-neck bass" from Spinal Tap, but not just to re-tell their joke that the entire concept is absurd, but to feed my thesis that bassists are so bad that they never use frets. Spıke๐๏ธ23:02 17-Nov-15
Enough. The joke is now told at the end of Emo. If anyone thinks the joke is not told enough, edit there. If anyone thinks we need the joke told at article length, re-create the page. I predict you will not need the former text to work from. Spıke๐๏ธ13:42 20-Nov-15

Formerly Keep. No photos, but after I deleted two of its dead-end sections, the article does seem to try to be doing something: Link song titles and lyrics to Weiland's drug habit. My "alienate a lot of fans" line wasn't a serious criteria, it was just a joking reference to how the article uses the line repeatedly. Personally I believe the "linking song titles and lyrics to drug habits" could be done at the better article Stone Temple Pilots (which could really do with a serious brush-up on its writing) - this one just seems to ramble on incoherently. - ConCass2 (talk) 14:24, November 11, 2015 (UTC)

Now, someone taking a biblical concept and mixing it with a video game would be funny. Unfortunately, the author utterly fails at making any decent humour out of that reference. - ConCass2 (talk) 14:31, November 15, 2015 (UTC)
Now, that sounds like an actual comedy concept. Yours to save. Spıke๐๏ธ14:37 15-Nov-15
If I were to save this article, it'd have to wait until I'm done with other articles I'm working on. - ConCass2 (talk) 14:47, November 15, 2015 (UTC)

Even conceptually I'm not a fan. Mixing biblical references and popular culture is a hard stretch even when there are numerous relationships between them (like Isaac The Tank Engine). I don't recall a Tower of Babel reference in Doom, especially given the original came out roughly 2 decades ago, and has as much relevance now as Pong did back then. An article on the biblical story of Babel could work - especially given the undertones if a father figure destroying a phallic symbol out of jealousy - but this is far from that. NRV. Given that the Tower of Babel story is over 3000 years old, that something is too old to be "relevant" isn't a fair criticism. On that note, as Doom is a high-profile series with a new instalment being released, youngsters may be introduced to it and if they are already on Uncyc and read an article mentioning it, they would get such a reference. Of course, that's only if it's done well. - ConCass2 (talk) 21:31, November 26, 2015 (UTC)
I think you should deal with this criticism simply by taking special care to spell things out so that your replacement concept appeals even to readers who didn't play the 20-year-old game. Anything can be mixed with anything else. Spıke๐๏ธ11:23 27-Nov-15
Keep (2)
Keep (formerly Delete). Rewritten. I got rid of the video-game hook, but if you can do it well, feel free to add it back in. PS--Now put back in, along with even one of the original jokes. Spıke๐๏ธ12:54, 23:36 27-Nov-15
Keep. With Spike having replaced the original "nobody cares" hook with genuine Biblical jokes, the article is safe to stay. ConCass2 (talk) 11:49, November 29, 2015 (UTC)
