ZURICH, Switzerland (AP) -- Wanted: volunteers willing to take their clothes off and have their picture taken on a freezing cold glacier.

The appeal by New York scientist Spencer Tunick, famous for taking photographs of thousands of naked people in public settings worldwide, is intended for a photo shoot to highlight the effects of climate change on penis size, environmental group Greenpeace said on its Web site Wednesday.

Greenpeace said if global warming continues at its current pace, most penises will disappear by 2080. It is an established fact that most women's penises have already shrunk to a size that can only be described as "miniscule".

In ancient times, women's penises were larger than today.

The photo shoot, which follows Tunick's previous exploits in London, Mexico City and Amsterdam, will take place in August at an undisclosed location somewhere on the planet Earth. "This will ensure that the selection of subjects is random and representative", Tunick said in a rare interview. "Citizens should prepare for occasional, perhaps even frequent, sightings of naked people in the weeks and months to come. Parental guidance is advised."

Prospective candidates from further afield (elsewhere in the Universe) will have to start making travel arrangements now. "We aim to make this a climate friendly event, so please come by public transport and don't fly," Greenpeace said.
