Then-mayor Bottoms warms up a small crowd in 2020 for a video of Joe Biden trying to read from a Teleprompter through a mask.

DUNWOODY, Georgia -- Former Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms was denied entry to a bar in a restaurant in a suburban mall here.

Bottoms, who was known as "Big Bottoms" during her stint as mayor, reasoned that, if attire is acceptable in a shopping mall, it must be acceptable in bars within the mall. "Rules are rules," she said, even when she invents them on the spot.

However, the Capital Grille, a chain owned by Darden Restaurants, has a dress code on its website. It states, in part, "To better deliver on our promise of an atmosphere that helps patrons pretend they are somewhere more tony than a shopping center, everyone please dress in your Sunday finery, and no butt-cracks showing."

A paragraph that appeared over the weekend adds, "Keisha, ditch the Spandex."

Bottoms, however, posited a more sinister explanation on the Twitter social medium:

Bottoms, who declined to run for re-election as mayor and has let herself go, appearance-wise, will make her racist mistreatment a theme of her CNN commentaries for a month or so until President Biden declares a third national "Independence Day" to commemorate her legacy of abuse.
