Geez... no matter how many times this page is created, it never fails to suck. --UNKNOWNFILE 03:02, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
Guess people mistaken this to be article about vaccum cleaner, "it must suck to be good" :p . Contributor seem to focus too much on specify title rather than parody Anime as whole (not that it's easy, I admit). Ace Attacker 16:00, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
Why delete the original?[edit]
The page before this was much better in terms of satire and actually making fun of anime without the rampant Family Guy style idiocy being posted.
- Agree. If the quality of this article won't improve, I can see this new one will got deleted as well. Ace Attacker 06:53, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- They'll all get deleted and the first was the best. It got deleted cause the pricks here don't like lists (or anime in general for that matter). Mr. Briggs Inc. 15:31, 4 March 2007 (UTC) Eh?
- If this isn't fixed in two weeks to something vaguely entertaining, I'm going to completely redo this article. It would be one week but standardized testing is a violation of my 8th amendment rights. Railcgun 02:36, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
- Fixed it up a little bit. Rewrote some of the crap. I'll see what I can do with it tomorrow. Axalon 03:27, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
I nominated the original page for VFD since it was becoming a chore to read through. The number one way to avoid having people liking your article is to make it excessively long. To conclude this post, a quote from Jack Mort:
“I am more than happy for Uncyc to be bloated with anime articles, provided they are well-written, coherent and funny to people who don't even know the show.”
(from the One Piece VFD nomination) -- 03:05, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- Also, advice to those writing the article: Don't let your article become a list. -- 03:06, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
The way I see it, this article has turned into a flamewar between anti-anime rednecks and pro-anime fags. Let those whom are neutral about the article write it without this bs outside interference. I move that we protect it until further notice. Railcgun 22:12, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Rewrite[edit]
Hey, I got an idea doing my chemistry homework last night. I am working on a rewrite which confuses "anime" with "amine." It's not the best idea ever, but it is the best idea that's ever been applied to this article (at least as long as I've been watching it) and, more importantly, it'll scare away any IPs who think they can mess with it. Ideas and pictures would be appreciated, especially since I don't watch most of the shows mentioned. User:Wehpudicabok/sig 05:16, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, nobody replied in over a month and a half, so I finished up my rewrite, for the most part, and added it to Pee Review. User:Wehpudicabok/sig 22:01, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
- I for one like it and good job! Chemistry is still knowledge obscure to many people, I would think though, but if it's understandable, it makes anime an article accessible to those not just in the anime-know, but still make enough references to be appreciated by OTaKUs (could do with more references, maybe). However, I suppose this warrants the rewrite of the Manga article to be some sort of functional group with manganese, huh? --The Dit 07:28, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- "Manga"-nese? Haha, that's brilliant! I don't think I'd be the one to do it, though. I hardly ever read manga. Mostly just Excel Saga, and a little FMA. Also, manganese is (unfortunately) the most boring element that ever existed. But still, it's a nice idea. User:Wehpudicabok/sig 18:20, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- Anyway, even this article was lacking in mentions of manganese, so I'll start it here. --The Dit 16:41, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Notes on the rewrite[edit]
- I thank the author of Garrison Keillor; that was a similar idea.
- Pronounce it like you would "amine." AN-EEM. Big accent on first syllable; little on second. "Animo" is uh-NEE-mo. On a related note, please forgive the presence of the word "animes." Had to be done, had to be done.
- Someone needs to write an article on Shonen Jump. Now.
- The idea of "diluted" linking to Adult Swim is that the anime are on so late at night, and surrounded by so many frankly strange shows, that they lose their anime punch, if you will, sort of like an acid dissolved in water.
- I put Bleach in its own category partly to make a pun on the original word bleach (bleaches are typically bases in chemistry) and partly to bring attention to Monika's brilliance. As a great man once said, "[Bleach] will... go down as the one great anime article on Uncyclopedia."
- There's supposed to be something along the lines of "acid = shounen, salt = shoujo" going on, but I may have messed that up. Please forgive me.

- FUN FACT! At the exact time that this article was featured, the author was watching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya on YouTube. — Sir Wehp! (t!) (c!) — 05:05, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
From Pee Review..[edit]
Trying to save this article from the brink. Seems too focused on individual anime as opposed to anime in general. Still quite a work in progress. Any suggestions are welcome.--Axalon 04:46, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
Humour: | 3.14159. | Meh. It's an improvement, but it doesn't really add up to the other article, which was a mindless otaku list mind you. |
Concept: | 7 | Already a concept. |
Prose and formatting: | 9.5 | Much betterly formatted. Props. |
Images: | 2.0 | I see only two images. Hence, 2.0. |
Miscellaneous: | 7 | Mum |
Final Score: | 33.5 | It's an improvement, but still needs more work. I maintain my earlier threat to huff it in two weeks. Maybe add more pictures. |

Recomendation[edit]
Currently, the article has some very humorous silly points but needs to harness the stinger of satire. While old comedy would be very nice, this article needs something more in the style of Pratchet, Bierce, Swift, or maybe even Vonnegut.
Whoever decides to fix this up should first research amino acids and protein folding to get an idea of the structure of this article, than read as many articles about specific animes in both wiki and uncyclopedia to learn about trends and patterns. After that, these trends should be written along the amino acid lines to present the essential anime, as well as its subcategories. The facts shouldn't be said w/ outright comedic flamboyance, but should instead employ a subtle joke in rewording, not as a pun, but as a way to show what normally seems logical as totally illogical or give information so true that it is funny, such as saying that anime can be fatal to women also consuming romance.
- Wow... That sounds like it might be nice, but I'm not about to rewrite the entire article (again), not when it's getting a decently good reception right now. I worked on this for almost two full months, and though I must confess I know little about amines and scarcely more about anime, I don't think it's capable of getting a whole lot better. It doesn't need accurate chemical references to be funny; it's supposed to be about ANIME first, with a layer of chem on top. If anyone else thinks they can do better, they are welcome to, but I'm pretty much done. I'll let it run its course on VFH; if it gets featured, yay, if it doesn't, oh well. I just wanted to make the anime article not suck, that's all. I think we can all agree that I accomplished that, so if you'll excuse me, I'm not going to mess with it any more. You're right, it could be more satirical, but this version is not bad (20 voters support me). User:Wehpudicabok/sig 03:54, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Holy shit this is funny[edit]
This is possibly the funniest article I've found on Uncyclopedia. I laughed so hard I cried. Great work. Dark Shikari 04:35, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
I agree, most articles on Uncylopedia end up pretty much the same and their not funny. Good to find an actual funny article for once. =) Alcryt 15:23, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Anime[edit]
Just put my rewrite of this old article out there. It is COMPLETELY different from everything that has been tried about Anime so far, so what does everyone think? User:Wehpudicabok/sig 21:54, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
animes are also are card playing retards. there very stupid when it comes to sex also just think the asian invasion.
Anime View[edit]
Can we get rid of the first part of the Anime View section (Animes are really Chineese/Japs. So we should kill the commies.)? It's completely unrelated and frankly unfunny. I don't see how it made it into the article in the first place. Agreed. Done. --Hotadmin4u69 [TALK] 17:51 Mar 2 2010
