Forum:Who appoints the feather in the cap award?
confusion
could someone please tell me? can i award it to someone else that i think deserves it without voting?
come to think of it could someone tell me where you vote for some of the other awards as well.
- The feather in your cap award is given by a cabal of some sort. I quite possibly just made that up. As for the voting, see the "ranks and honours" section below...Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 04:21, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

could someone tell me who appoints that award. i dont want a joke :(
- Wait. You don't want a joke? But that's Uncyclopedia's raison d'etre! Oh, well. I'll leave it up to Spang, then. He knows things about stuff. It's all he ever talks about. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 05:37, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
- A man walks into a bar. "Ouch." In other news, since FIYC seems to technically give someone a pretty high rank, you probably shouldn't award it by yourself. Give the deserving person a cookie for minor helpfulness, or a ninjastar for major helpfulness. Or you can make up your own delightfully inane award in your userspace and use that. Or you can start stalking them. But they might not like that last one so much. -- Whhhy?Whut? How? *Back from the dead* 10:25, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

I created the FIYC award (Fun Fact: it was the catalyst for much of the Uncyc awards system and Order of Uncyclopedia... sorry about that). I meant it for major, Uncyc-changing contributions. I gave it to Elvis for his work in facilitating commerce between the various Uncyclopedias and to Algorithm for creating the Forum system, the <choose> tags and other stuff. I don't think I've given it to anyone else. That said, most awards can be given out by anyone, and the Awards system isn't exactly the most strictly regulated thing in wikiland. —rc (t) 16:30, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
