Did anyone else see the most recent Colbert Report? That was frickin hilarious, and it led to hundreds of people vandalizing Wikipedia as well. Stephen Colbert is my hero. -- Sir C America...Fuck Yeah!!!! Holla | CUN 06:49, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

I saws it too. I was about ready to log in and check the Elephants page, but it was late and my computer is damn slow. I'm gonna see what sort of vandalism they pulled out now. --Señor DiZtheGreat Honor me! CUN AOTM ( Worship me!) (Praise me!) (Join me!) AMEN! 14:59, 1 August 2006 (UTC) PS: Stephen Colbert is God.
Turns out the admins had there had to semi-block the Oregon, Elephants, and Colbert Report articles. Now that's how you stick it to the Man! Take THAT, Jon Stewart! --Señor DiZtheGreat Honor me! CUN AOTM ( Worship me!) (Praise me!) (Join me!) AMEN! 15:12, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
This edit is the funniest of them all... and it was made by Colbert himself. Seriously. It was made during the taping of the show, before anybody else saw Colbet mentioned editing the George Washington article on air. -- Tinymooose.gif » Sir Savethemooses Grand Commanding Officer ... holla atcha boy» 17:42, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
Haha yeah, I saw that one too. One of those dumbass Wikipedia admins blocked Stephen Colbert! Those assholes. You can't block a God! -- Sir C America...Fuck Yeah!!!! Holla | CUN 19:40, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
It's up on YouTube [1] for all the losers like me that can't watch American television unless Channel 4 repeats it for us lowly limeys. And btw, yes, it's hilarious.--Superbo 20:34, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
They blocked Colbert because they're still not sure if it was really him or not, but judging by the timing and what he said, it probably was. They say they'll unblock it if they can get conformation that it was Stephen... and if Tawker gets mentioned on the show. If he got mentioned on the show personally, I think I would die a little bit inside. And actually I looked, and I think the edits were made before the show aired, so it had to be him. Long Live Colbert!! -- Sir C America...Fuck Yeah!!!! Holla | CUN 00:49, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
Oh man, that's hilarious. I mean, I'd like to pretend I'm offended by such a blatant disregard for the wiki community, but I'm not. It's hilarious.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 04:12, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
When I was on holiday in the States earlier this year, I happened to catch the Colbert Report, and tbh, it sucked, and if this becomes some kind of massive in-joke, I will not be pleased :/ --officer designate Club symbol.png Lugiatm Club symbol.png MUN NS CM ZM WH
Okay, I don't know where he normally lives (probably British Isles, go figure), but Lugiatm is just put off by Colbert's blunt sarcasm and use of American personifications as engines of satire, all the while making us question our own morality and judgment of the country we have come to know uncritically, and the questionable officials who rule over it...or something like that, I'm probably paraphrasing off a Wikipedia article...it was probably too USA-centric for you, though. --Señor DiZtheGreat Honor me! CUN AOTM ( Worship me!) (Praise me!) (Join me!) AMEN! 20:12, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
As far as I saw, that was not satire, and believe me, I know satire. I'm British, after all, and we are the birthplace of satire what with our funny accents and Ian Hislop. --officer designate Club symbol.png Lugiatm Club symbol.png MUN NS CM ZM WH 13:13, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
It seems the son has outdone the father, so to say, for regardless of satire's birthplace, America is its new home, and Colbert is running it quite smoothly. And if you don't agree with me, you're a Communist. --Señor DiZtheGreat Honor me! CUN AOTM ( Worship me!) (Praise me!) (Join me!) AMEN! 15:30, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
Agreed Colbert's take on O'Reilly, Limbaugh et al is spot on. It actually makes the Daily Show hard to watch (I watch real news, then Colbert now rather than Dailyshow-Colbert, as they'd intended). It helps that Dailyshow has been going downhill since Mo Rocca left...--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 22:23, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

elephants make better pets than sock puppets

(especially hordes of them) why is wikipedia denying this? strange. this isn't democracy of knowledge. -- mowgli 05:16, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

NON-SEQUITUR RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! Seriously, wtf? ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 13:26, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
ghelae, i have trouble understanding your monosyllabic comments (like "non-sequitur -- wtf?" above and "AAAAAA" for an answer to a pointed question, "so why did you change my signature?") so i posted a non sequitur (as in nonsense) above. are you saying that nonsense is cliched here? what am i to make of your comment? do oblige (preferably with a longish answer: as if you're trying to explain a joke to someone who's an idiot or a small child, or an idiot who is also a small child -- or an overgrown baby if you will since i've dated myself here). tia. -- mowgli 09:33, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
My point was a question, basically: "Why did you make a non-sequitur in the middle of a forum topic?" I made it a non-sequitur itself for self-reference, irony, whatever. And what do you mean about my replies? I've never replied "AAAAAA" to a question. ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 09:36, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
oh that! i'm still getting used to formatting and general etiquette for adding/responding in a wiki - so some my formatting might look a little bizarre. because it was nonsense, i was careful enough to delink it from the discussion that was going on. i posted nonsense 'cos what was happening in wikipedia, namely vandalizing of the elephants bit, was bizarre: almost as if wikipedia was suppressing truth. wikipedia was suppressing truth because...ok i think i'll stop here.
u posted, "Thank You. Merci. AAAAA AAA. etc" in "muslim cell phone" (though not in response to a question, i agree) but frankly, that's not what's bugging me right now. what's bugging me is why did you append your signature to something i had posted there. i never really understood the reasons you gave. if the answer is too long or too complicated, you can skip answering it (and i'll make it stop bugging me). -- mowgli 10:17, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
I didn't replace your signature, I typed in an pseudo-elipsis "...", and then added my signature. And the "AAAAA AAA" was "thank you" in Aaaaaaaaa. ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 10:25, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
o, i get it now!!! crystal clear!! well, AAAAA AAA!!!! -- mowgli 10:30, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

Vote for Stephen Colbert for admin here

Score: +9

Let's invite him here and he can write whatever articles we wants, and it will give Uncyclopedia the media attention it deserves. I think his comedic genius is better used here than on Wikipedia anyway. He can write articles on his show or edit ones here to make them funnier. --2nd_Lt [[User:Orion Blastar|<span one chances are I'll NRV it regardless of the author. ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 08:06, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

I think the best articles are already written, so I think it would be better for him just to edit the pages, also because if he writes a new August 2006 (UTC)
