Forum:Paid-for articles on Uncyclopedia
I see Wikipedia has had a problem with editors asking for money 'and protection' for articles on Wikipedia. See here - http://tinyurl.com/nc7olec. Perhaps it is Navelism but perhaps an article can worked on here from an 'Unc Angle'? E.g. Companies willing to pay Uncyclopedia editors to write funny stuff about them? --RomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 12:12, September 2, 2015 (UTC)
- We ought to hit up Greggs and Fisher-Price to pay us to stop writing articles about them. Spıke 🎙️13:49 2-Sep-15
- Might be a bit in and out to do something today, but I'm up for it. Anna Kournikova would be very happy to protect her article here I'm sure. --EStop (talk) 13:54, September 2, 2015 (UTC)
- How about a situation where a multi-million dollar bill is run up due to a revert war between rival companies? --EStop (talk) 13:56, September 2, 2015 (UTC)
- Greggs ran out of sausages in their efforts to woo Google away from listing Wikia as a 'Trusted Source'. Now will Wikipedia be also dispensed with? --RomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 13:58, September 2, 2015 (UTC)

- Begun at UnNews:Uncyclopedia unaffected by Wikipedia scam. Spıke 🎙️14:16 2-Sep-15
- PS--EStop worked separately and contributed some ideas on the UnNews's talk page, which I worked into the text. Spıke 🎙️14:20 4-Sep-15
This article: Flying Nun Records just popped up on Recent Changes. I was disappointed to find when clicking on it that it is just a record company with a wacky name. This is Uncyclopedia, we deserve a page on airbourne record-breaking nuns. SirScott 14:11, September 2, 2015 (UTC)
Longest distance flown by a nun getting booted out of the Catholic Church could be one of the records perhaps? SirScott 14:13, September 2, 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, the title is funnier than the label. I am hoping the writer will return to improve it after my encouragement. --RomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 14:18, September 2, 2015 (UTC)
- Have just given it some House Style and deleted the usual list of puns of song names. No reason the treatment that ScottPat wants could not become the History of the label. Spıke 🎙️14:22 2-Sep-15
- Catholic Church has paid for the image.--RomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 14:29, September 2, 2015 (UTC)

- There could also be a tie-in to the old Sally Field television sit-com. Nevertheless, the reader who wanted this material is back in the situation where he has to type in a punch line to see if anyone here ever told the associated joke. The only core constituency is readers who are interested in that garage record label. 14:51 2-Sep-15 PS--Oops, just switched on Images, I see Romartus got it. Spıke 🎙️14:52 2-Sep-15
- PPS--This will be problematic. The essential humor is to take the story of "the singing nun" and twist it to the "flying nun." This humor was performed, when we were young or unborn, by American television producers. A tiny bit of additional humor was added by Kiwis looking for an innovative name for their record label. Creator Lariste kaplan might not know this, but our article ought to provide original new humor and not just document funny stuff that these two guys did. (He has interesting writing but not yet a unifying comedy theme.) Spıke 🎙️14:20 4-Sep-15
