A fictional character is generally known as a character seen or described in Fiction. There are several types of fictional characters:
- Supernatural characters: Vampires, Werewolves, Ghosts, Mermaids, Fairies, Elves, Trolls, Orcs just to name a few.
- TV Sitcom characters.
- Anime characters, most of which started out as manga characters. See also Sailor Moon.
- Movie monsters. If it is big and it destroys cities, it fits in this category, whether it be Godzilla, King Kong, or a Dragon.
- Superheroes.
- Fictional animal species, which often have magical or supernatural abilities.
- Classic mythological characters. Whether it be Greek fiction, Roman fiction, or other historical fiction, it is still fiction, and usually includes fictional characters.
- Characters coming from outer space or alternate realities.
- NPCs: Non-player characters. Found most frequently in RPG and video games.
- This is a disambiguation page — words should always mean more than one thing, and we're working hard to ensure that each word you look up refers to at least two completely unrelated articles. If an article link referred you here, you should make it to point directly to the article where you think the confused link-maker thought it would point, or go nuts and pick one at random. Just make sure it doesn't point here.
