Riyadh, Saudi Arabia -- American First Secretary Mike Pompeo said 'I've got it all covered' after his emergency meeting with the King of Saudi Arabia following the disappearance of a Washington Post journalist in Istanbul, Turkey.

The rotund First Secretary arrived in time for fresh kebabs flown in Turkey as he discussed the whereabouts of missing journalist Jamal Khashoggi who was last seen entering the Saudi Arabian consulate in Istanbul. Khashoggi arrived to legally annul his previous marriage but has not been seen since.

King Salman and his son Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman told me they knew nothing and I believed them, said Pompeo. The kebabs were superb,though I did find a jacket button in my cut.

The Saudi government said they would quickly find out what happened after the spoke to suspects employed by them, using electrodes supplied by the American government. Pompeo added:

I am sure we'll have a satisfactory answer to what happened to Mr Khashoggi and go back to planning the next war in the Middle East.
