Government U-Turn as Cameron Agrees to Collect Daughter from Pub |
11 June 2012
WESTMINSTER, United Kingdom. British Prime Minister David Cameron has today agreed to perform a U-turn on a narrow country road to collect his daughter Nancy from the Plough Inn at Cadsden, in Buckinghamshire (UK) just fifteen minutes after selling her to the drinking establishment.
The Prime Minister said there was no point digging himself further into a hole, “Clearly the British people do not think leaving an eight year old girl to fend for herself in a pub is acceptable, and I have listened to what they have said.”
The reversal of the policy, which would have seen Cameron’s daughter clearing glasses in return for scraps of food and bar snacks, has been criticised by the British Labour Party as a “shambles”. They have suggested that Nancy's next job at the pub would have been to go up the chimney to clean out the soot from the open log fire.
Labour's leader Ed Milliband, who himself has faced recent criticism for using an unmanned drone to pick his two sons up from nursery, told reporters, “selling your daughter for slave labour and then immediately reversing that decision, clearly shows how out of touch the Prime Minister is with the ordinary people in this country.”
