Hello, Oh Dear, and welcome to Uncyclopedia! Unfortunately, we've noticed that your "work" so far has not met our standards for the main encyclopedia. In other words — not to put too fine a point on it — it has been crap.

But all is not yet lost. Your edits gave someone the impression you are not a spambot but a person who might benefit from instruction. If it were clearer that you had arrived just to plant advertisements, racism, or swears on our pages, banning you from the website would have been simpler and quicker.

If you thought you were making good edits, then perhaps before you make more of them, you might click some or all of the links in the box below — because doing more of what you were doing will only prove that a warning like this wasn't enough. You might begin with the Beginner's Guide, then perhaps advance to our style guide at How To Be Funny And Not Just Stupid.

You can reply to me below, or on my own talk page (by clicking on my signature below). If you think it was unfair that you got this message, you can ask an Admin to intervene and decide. Whenever posting to a talk page, please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~) or use the "sign" button () above the edit box. This will automatically produce your name and the date. Or you can add the following: {{help}} to this page along with a message and someone will come along and give guidance on anything you are unclear about. In the meantime, you can practice for a few days in your userspace rather than in the encyclopedia itself.
