Talk:Torchwood
I have pasted the section from the doctor who article here in the hope that it will expand. ~~sabrown100
Where did the older page go?! Didn't see anything wrong with it? ~~Trainmad
- The older page was removed because someone decided it was a "list". Sigh. I've actually got the old page as a text file on this PC because most of it was pretty good, although it was in dire need of expanding and rather less gay jokes. --Zarbag 12:40, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- It was nothing like a list... any chance of putting at least some of it back? Admittedly there were a few too many gay jokes, but then again, Torchwood does have more than its fair share of bisexuality. ~~Trainmad
- I agree it wasn't a list. It was satirising a TV show so it was split into sections covering episodes, characters etc. The Doctor Who entry has the same format but managed to become featured. I've still got the whole thing as a text file so I might put some of it back. As regarding the gay jokes, there were too many of them but the point is that Torchwood plays on the omnisexuality of its characters. --Zarbag 13:31, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
That's crap, it wasn't a list at all. Can you please redo it, as the person who started this page I would quite like it to be back at it was. ~~ T-evs93
- Instead of whining on the talk page, you might want to contact the administrator who deleted it. Maybe, if you ask real nice, he might restore it back in your userspace for you to work on it. Then again, maybe not. – Sir Skullthumper, MD (criticize • writings • SU&W) 20:21 Feb 02, 2008
T-evs93, I have the whole thing as a text file. Create a "Torchwood" page on your user space (ask an admin for help doing this if you need to) and I'll paste the whole thing there for you. --Zarbag 13:33, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
Drop me a line about the previous version exact name, I can't find that. I'll restore it to your space so you can work on it. Brigadier Sir Mordillo GUN UotY WotM FP UotM AotM MI3 AnotM VFH +S 07:51, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
I've replaced all the "lost" stuff and added an "Origins" and "setting" section to flesh the article out much more. I've an idea for a replacement "Torchwood" logo for the first picture too which I'll try and get done soon. --Zarbag 12:28, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Thanks Zarbag! Perhaps somebody could flesh out the Adam episode too, its not very good at the moment (by me.) ~~Trainmad

New Logo[edit]
I've done and uploaded my new version of the Torchwood logo. It'd be quite good to replace the red of the logo with the "gay flag" colours if someone could do that as it'd be a nice nod to the show's omnisexuality and rather more subtle than the original. --Zarbag 12:38, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
Centered?[edit]
For some reason, the entire font of the page has become centered, making the sentences more difficult to read. Is it just me who's seeing this? And if not, can it be fixed?--RestamSalucard 00:54, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
- I get that too (I'm using Firefox). I've no idea what's caused it; there doesn't seem to have been any edits for a while and I can't find anything that would have caused it. Odd. --Zarbag 09:36, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
- I think I've found the problem. It seems someone activated the "center" command in the TV template and then didn't switch it off again. Unfortunately, I can't find the place to put the deactivation in the template itself without it appearing in the text or only on the template page. *grr* --Zarbag 09:48, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
- Would anyone mind if we just got rid of the TV template, (just for now until we can fix the problem)?--RestamSalucard 22:02, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
NEVERMIND, IT'S WORKING.--RestamSalucard 22:08, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
I fixed it. —Sir Socky (talk) (stalk) 22:10, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
Separate entry for Torchwood episodes[edit]
I was thinking it might be a good idea to move the 'episodes' section to its own entry (called Torchwood Episode Guide or something like that), thus making the main Torchwood entry a bit tidier. Opinions? --Zarbag 11:00, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
