- Originally Forum:ISIS, ISIL or the Caliph of IS?
I guess we do need something on the organisation with the ever shifting name since they are now the greatest threat to world peace since Bin Laden (remember him?). I think I have come up with the Caliph of Is may be about my best short so far on this one. Ideas below? --RomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 21:54, September 1, 2014 (UTC)
- But al-Qaeda is dead (now called ISIL) and Chrysler is alive (now called Fiat)! And economic recovery is right around the corner! I suggest Caliphate would be a good home for some material, as that seems to be the point; with redirects corresponding to whatever they are calling themselves this month. Spıke Ѧ 21:58 1-Sep-14
- OK that sounds a fair way of doing it. I guess they may just end up calling themselves 'I' at this rate. --RomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 07:55, September 2, 2014 (UTC)
- The article Caliphate is coming along fine now Spike. I suspect it may become a vandal magnet so may need protection against I.P. edits in future. I admit finding 'laughs' about subject with recent developments is lot is harder but I prefer we try something to fill the gap. Could do with a 'caliphate' version of Risk if someone else can have a go with that?? --RomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 17:29, September 2, 2014 (UTC)
- I saw a private eye cartoon on the organization in question in which an Arabian looking gentleman waving an AK47 about reported to a civilian bystander that they had come to set up a Muslim Caliphate which would return to the traditional Islamic values of tolerance, passiveness and respect for developments in technology (something along those lines). Sir ScottPat (converse) 18:50, September 3, 2014 (UTC)
- Probably need an infobox if we are going to treat this as a 'country'. --RomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 06:58, September 4, 2014 (UTC)

- Infobox started, but I am out of ideas, as all the humor angles pale against writing about the daily American dithering about it. Ooh! "this page will be checked again on September 11"! I'm going to the store today for more canned goods for the basement! Spıke Ѧ 12:21 4-Sep-14
- I have added a few ideas and pix. Regards Anton's bit about Russia, I think what is required is something broader - the Caliphate's view of Christianity and Judaism instead. Caliph 'Ibrahim' says victory is capturing Rome. I guess he would want to drive a Toyota pick-up truck into St.Peter's and converting it into a mosque (as per Mohammed II did with St.Sophia in Constantinople in 1453 - except without the truck). --RomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 10:00, September 6, 2014 (UTC)
- As someone who's been doing his research into this thing for some time, it's worth mentioning that the members of IS enjoy cats. Look on Twitter if you don't believe me. Revolutionary, Anti-Bensonist, and TYATU Boss

Idea[edit]
A section detailing why a Muslim-conquered world with a supreme theocratic dictator. It could be entitled "America, the Great Satan, and You Make Three". WolfAmongGods (talk) 22:41, September 1, 2014 (UTC)

The Caliphate and Batman[edit]
Looking at the Table of Contents in view of Anton199's assertion that this article is ready for featuring (though he says he has not read it completely), it strikes me that Responses is one item short of satisfying the vital Rule of Three. I'll get someone started:
- 3.3 The Caped Crusader
As the nation called "the world's only remaining superpower" had swung and missed, also the nation called "the world's formerly other superpower," and as Scotland Yard was busy investigating the passing of cheques with improper endorsement, the job of countering the caliphate fell to the only crime fighter with experience against bad guys who hit totally symbolic targets on anniversaries, usually leaving Hallmark cards with cryptic riddles that have to be solved in a laboratory in a cave: The Batman.
Well, I expanded this somewhat and added it to the article, but it's now much less complete than before. Does anyone have an idea how Batman and Robin made out against the Caliphate? Or was it a cliff-hanger? (Want to find out? Come back, same bat-time! same bat-channel!) Spıke Ѧ 10:14 17-Sep-14
- Batman in a cape and tights against the Ninja Jihadists. --RomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 10:39, September 17, 2014 (UTC)
Memo, the Batman theme was removed in the face of loud protests during the VFH vote. Spıke Ѧ 16:46 1-Nov-14
Good job[edit]
It's good to see websites such as Uncyclopedia standing up to Islam, using its greatest enemy: humour. Really funny, brave work guys. Well done. --Lucifuge Rofacale (talk) 16:38, November 1, 2014 (UTC)
- I hear there is a popular-music group over there doing the same. Spıke Ѧ 16:46 1-Nov-14
- Seriously??? --Lucifuge Rofacale (talk) 17:38, November 6, 2014 (UTC)
- Would I kid you??? See, for instance, http://www.truthrevolt.org/news/kurdish-music-video-mocks-isis —
“ | We are bearded dirty and filthy. We are brainless with nothing in our heads.
We milk the goat even if it is male. We are ISIS. We are ISIS. Our pockets are full of Qatari money, our language is bullets and cutting. From Chechnya and the Hijaz we come smelling of garlic and onion. We strive for Jihad and sex. |

Yes that sounds rather like them. --Lucifuge Rofacale (talk) 21:53, November 11, 2014 (UTC)
