things that will kill you

it seems every month Aus is discovering something new that will kill you dead. rather often it will do it instantly. for this reason it may be worth while to change the fatal creatures list to a list of things that won't kill you dead. example cyonide by the barrel, commonly called NT beer cans (for non locals these are beer served in 1 gallon cans, shaped like a coke can at warm temp and designed as a souvenier rather than drinking)152.91.9.153 21:58, January 15, 2013 (UTC)

Sport?

What do you mean Australia's famous for being good at sport. In the 2012 Olympic Games Australia received less Gold Medals than Yorkshire (County, England). On the above comment try to make this article more encyclopedic looking. Don't make up wild dream statements about Australia winning sport competitions. Sydney page redirects here?

The entire article on Sydney Australia now redirects to this page. Can we please restore the Sydney page and/or remove the redirect to this page? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 15.219.233.74 (talk • contribs)

We don't seem to have ever had a page Sydney, Australia. We had several pages Sydney, including one with many revisions. It was placed in Intensive Care, did not receive care, and was pronounced dead by Black flamingo11 on 6-Mar-12. This means it is too crappy to restore. You are welcome to start a new page on Sydney, but you should pick a user name and develop the article in your private userspace before installing it in the encyclopedia. Spıke Ѧ 15:52 4-Sep-13

You placed the Sydney page in intensive care? It is a city of almost 5 million people. Now we have nothing. The smaller Australian city of Melbourne still has several pages in it's own article. Can I delete that one? Get the Sydney page back - it was perfect just the way it was. A fantastic page which really brought out the heart of soul of the city. An who is this vandal 'black Flamingo11' who thinks a major city with several pages can be just completely removed? Unreal! If you don't like Sydney, that's your opinion. Flamingo is not a vandal but a former site administrator. You are the one leaving unsigned opinions on a talk page. The deletion of an article is done by Admins, not by you, and is a reflection on the quality of the article, not the worthiness of the subject. No one deletes articles that are anywhere near "perfect." I hope one of your friends will actually pick a user name and set out to write a good article on Sydney. Spıke Ѧ 10:40 12-Sep-13

No offense, but I've been called a vandal a few times on wikipedia for deleting or changing even a couple of lines in an article. (And that was with the best intentions & explained fully) Now I didn't see the reasons for moving the Sydney page to intensive care. I can imagine it was all the references to the gay community - fair enough. But there was a large amount of very amusing data there which would not offend anyone.
