Pick-a-ring and say My Precious! is a Canadian city located west of Toronto. Despite its population of 90,000+, that makes it one of the largest metropolises in Ontario (and, by the way, in whole Canada); Pickering is outclassed by Toronto (of course) and some neighboring towns as... Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa, Bowmanville, Markham, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Missisauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Niagara Falls (ON), Niagara Falls (NY), Buffalo etc...
Bad luck history[edit]
Once upon a time, before becoming a nobody cares city, Pickering was a nobody cares village. In 1953, to avoid to be turned into a popsicle, it was stolen incorporated into the neighboring city of Ajax, and moved east... To be turned into the Staten Island of Toronto.
Some years later, Pickering was chosen to be the site of a nuclear power plant and turned into the Canadian Chernobyl.
Bad luck geography[edit]
As said above, Pickering is smashed between Toronto and Ajax and, despite its large population, is the littlest shithole settlement of... A regional municipality?! Seriously!? Oh Honey.
Fortunately, it lies on Lake Ontario... Opposite the Niagara Falls. D'oh!
Notable people casually crossing the Highway 401[edit]
- Neil Young spent a day in Pickering, it was a traffic jam on the Highway 401
