Forum:Monty Python Clear-Up Effort
Having had a quick look at Monty Python and the Knights who say Ni it seems quite clear to me that that Monty Python articles are riddled with unoriginal humour, Monty Pyhthon memes and awful jokes. I suggest we have a community effort on re-writing the Monty Python articles this month (what's left of it) so that we may rectify this problem. Either that or we accept that Monty Python was hilarious and there is no need to repeat their jokes on Uncyclopedia so the articles ought to go to VFD. How about it? Any thoughts on this? - Definitely one of the above two options. I believe we are here for original comedy creations and not as a catalog of funny stuff already done. It is problematic when one writes an article on a comedy troupe to ensure that one is adding value. If these articles aren't, they should be fixed or dumped. Spıke Ѧ 20:36 15-Jan-14
Other recent cruft
Making this a separate section to try not to pollute the discussion above, new cruft has arrived today:
- Norwich/Dialect (and a bunch of comparable articles, such as articles on swearing in a given foreign language) are catalogs rather than original humor.
- Everything pointed to by Template:Wargame is crap. Someone is clever/someone is bossy at IRC, but "I guess you had to be there" and I wasn't. Spıke Ѧ 21:35 15-Jan-14
- I'll have a look at these and VFD those that need it. Sir ScottPat (talk) 13:59, January 25, 2014 (UTC)
It's been a week or something...probably...can't be bothered to check...
...and no one has commented that they could help or protested on this forum (save for Spike agreeing that VFD or redo are the options) so I think as I am lost for ideas and have a bit too much on my plate I'll nominate all the terrible Python articles on VFD. I consider this action more worthy of what Monty Python would want if they ever bothered to check this site, than repeats of their old jokes in a worse form than the original sketches on yt. - I will have a look Scottpat. I am of that time! --RomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 17:06, January 29, 2014 (UTC)
