Skates, I wrote that Abuse Filter. When a new user makes an edit that includes an external link, we tend to assume he is spamming us. When an established user does so, he may be ridiculing a celebrity and feel the need to give the reader "evidence" (FACTS!!!!) which means his humor is not standing on its own; but he can override the Abuse Filter.

Gentlemen (and, speaking hypothetically, ladies): You are welcome to use this site to converse, even about events at another website. However, talk pages and Forums are usually for planning the writing of funny articles, funny meaning funny to someone other than the writers.

If it should extend to doing the business of another website on this website, I will start banning, as we have for years banned editors who use Uncyclopedia to (1) keep scorecards of their favorite reality TV show or (2) prepare an (unfunny) essay for a school assignment.
