Forum:I came back and things are different
So I have nothing to do at all and I remembered that this website is a thing I did once, so I guess I might as well come back here and write articles and stuff, but having said that, I need to get a few things out of the way:
1. Damn, my username is stupid in retrospect...
2. So I know this site forked off to a non-Wikia version whose URL I can't remember. So, which one is the better site? Which one is more active? Who's moved where?
3. Having said that, since I stopped caring about this place (let's call it October last year), what's happened? I remember everything kind of started to lull and break down, the UnSignpost gave up, Pee Review keeled over and died, etc. So what's been going on? Has anyone left? Has anyone joined? - Welcome back! The most active admins these days are, in order of seniority, Romartus, Simsilikesims, and I. Prominent users over the last couple months include ScottPat, Anton199, and Reverend P. Pennyfeather, with apologies for anyone I left out who thinks he's just as prominent. The above have resurrected the institutions you claim are defunct; however, monthly awards are now much less than monthly, and rotations of the main-page feature are sometimes less than daily. Several guys in the last week could join the list of prominent Uncyclopedians, but we'll only know that in retrospect. - Welcome back, EpicAwesomeness. Some other occasional users here are DSA510, who does mostly janitorial work here, and Shabidoo still makes appearances now and then, as does Frosty. Several admins who are mainly active only on the fork quit their admin status here. ChiefjusticeDS and Mordillo and Frosty are still doing some admin work here from time to time, but are less active than the admins mentioned above. You can read the Worst 100 Reflections on 2013 for some of the major things that happened here. Generally there has been tension between the two sites, so we usually avoid talking about the fork much on here, especially since there is a policy in place not to use Wikia resources to promote non-Wikia sites. -- Simsilikesims(♀GUN) Talk here. 20:45, July 23, 2013 (UTC)
