Dickipedia
Dickipedia was an encyclopedic wiki that was in existence for a fleeting period in 2024.
History[edit]
In 2022, Elon Musk purchased the website Twitter, which he renamed to X in 2023. With that experience under his belt, in December 2024, Musk offered to donate $1 billion to Wikipedia if it would change its name to Dickipedia for at least a year.[1] The reasoning was that Wikipedia was serving as a notorious counterexample to its seminal policy page, "Don't be a dick".
At the time of the offer, Donald Trump had just been re-elected U.S. President. He had founded a Twitter spinoff called Truth Social, and after the 2024 election, Democrats flocked to a spinoff called BlueSky, both social media catering to groups hoping to associate only with the like-minded, when X became annoyingly open to tweets of every ideological stripe after Musk fired 80% of its content moderators, most of whom are now driving taxis in San Jose.
Wikipedia, however, was still rigidly orthodox, to the extent that Musk recommended that his fellow philanthropists stop contributing to the site. Musk suggested it be renamed Woke-o-Pedia, though he never promised a billion-dollar premium for this move. Both initiatives seemed to be aimed at reducing the value of Wikipedia, perhaps facilitating a Musk acquisition, if his rumored buyout of MSNBC fell through.
Wikipedia angrily denounced the Musk offer, refused the billion dollars, and asserted its destiny of continuing to Be a Dick. Ownership said it would continue to ban editors who tried to rewrite articles on nations to give them a bit less emphasis on whether it is legal to take it up the butt there.
In modern culture[edit]
At about the same time, several Dickipedias were set up. Some of these were doubtless attempts to win the $1 billion bounty, perhaps on the off-chance that Musk got confused and thought he had prevailed.

— This website instantly linked to Planned Parenthood, though de-linking was likely during the second Trump Presidency.
