Template Image Suggestions[edit]
Added from Uncyclopedia:RadicalX's Corner
I had a few suggestions for adding several unused images onto specific templates. As I'd rather not attempt to edit major templates (particularly if they're not very funny), I thought I would list them here if anyone had any thoughts ? MadMax 06:29, 28 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- Trying it. --Splaka

My/Your House template ?[edit]
I was curious if the random room articles (bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, sauna, etc.) could be incorporated into a My/Your House (or even my backyard) template, similar to the Anonymus or You/Me templates for example ? 70.88.222.85 23:54, 4 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Sure, feel free to make it if it's useful. Or hilariously non-useful. --—rc (t) 21:01, 5 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- In case people are curious, the template is Template:House. —Lenoxus 22:23, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
Template:Kerry display problem[edit]
I created a John Kerry template similar to the random Wilde quotes on the Report a problem page but when it shows up on a page the titles read as {{{1}}} and {{{2}}}. 70.88.222.85 20:41, 7 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- I got it working for the first 2 variants but the last is going to be a problem, it would appear that you can't use variables within a <choose></choose> tag, although User:Algorithm (who wrote the extension) might know more.--The Right Honourable Maj Sir Elvis UmP KUN FIC MDA VFH Bur. CM and bars UGM F@H (Petition) 21:09, 7 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks Elvis. I've been trying to figure out what was wrong for awhile now but nothing I did seemed to work. 70.88.222.85 21:24, 7 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Elvis, I was wondering if the code for the Kerry templte could be used in the wabbit/duck season debate (seems to me like a potential an article there..) in the Did You Know section ? I did some work on the preview page using the code tag itself but the quote won't come up. Is it just the fact the <choose> tag can't be used in the template ? -134.241.43.254
- No you can use <choose> fine in templates (check the code in Template:Kerry) there are some interesting limitations however and I certainly don't claim to be a expert, the best thing to create a template thenuse trial and error to get it working (or once you have a template tell us where it is and we can have a quick look and try to work out why it's broken) --The Right Honourable Maj Sir Elvis UmP KUN FIC MDA VFH Bur. Browser issues[edit]
For some reason, Template:Minitrue and Template:Crimethink have gray background in Opera and white in IE. Which one should we use when we fix this? - Guest 11:49, 15 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Mozilla and Opera accept the mispelt "Lightgray" html color, while IE only accepts "Lightgrey". This is somewhat ironic, as mozilla used to be the format nazi browser (like with tables), and IE used to be an html code slut, making it more popular for a time. Changed both to #D3D3D3. --Splaka 20:16, 15 Oct 2005 (UTC)
Template:H2G2Researcher[edit]
I can't seem to get this one to work right. The way it's supposed to look is hard-coded into my user page, could somebody have a looksy at Template talk:H2G2Researcher and tell me what I'm doing wrong? --Nerd42 22:30, 4 Dec 2005 (UTC)
Two Questions[edit]
1) Where's the redlink template listed? I can't find it in the templates section, and I'm curious about Uncyclopedia's official policy concerning red links. Personally, I have pretty much no problem with them, as long as the name of the article it's linked to could someday be an actualy Uncyclopedia article (or deliberately isn't, as a joke. • (2) How do I make a new template? By the way, this is the red link template (to avoid confusion): {{{redlink}}}
- Not all templates are listed. Many creators are lax in adding them to the list of templates. To make a new template just name a new page with the prefix Template:... eg Template:Sometemplate would be embedded with code: {{Sometemplate}}. --Splaka 06:12, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
- Oi, lax creator reporting. I just made the template and didn't think about it too much. Can I be blamed, actually? --Boy Toy bitch at me 23:30, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
Whatever happened to...[edit]
... the "someone, somewhere" template, which would link to the Encyclopedia Dramatica's take on the subject? I thought it was brilliantly subtle, and has many very real uses, but I can't seem to find it. (Believe me, I'm no fan of the Dramatica...)—Lenoxus 18:48, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

Too many Templates[edit]
This article contains too many templates. This may offend some readers while actually not being all that funny. Who cares?

Deleted listings of templates[edit]
Cross-posted from Village Dump
I would have put this on Zombiebaron's talk page, but his user and user talk pages mention an "extended sabbatical."
Anyway, a while ago Zombiebaron deleted Uncyclopedia:Templates/Content management (log, mentioning "nonsense") and Uncyclopedia:Templates/Deletion process (log, mentioning technical issues with categorization).
I think these pages did have some usefulness, just as they would for other newbies trying to find a template to use. I don't think deletion was really the best solution here, but I don't feel comfortable asking for a straightforward undeletion. Could we consider replacing them with text-only lists consisting of wikilinks, redirects to categories of templates, or something else? --Pentium5dot1|t~^_^~c 02:52, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
How to make templates[edit]
- I know how to make some templates, such as the spork template, {{spork|some site}} and the Partail spork template, {{Partialspork|some site}} ,but how do you make the other templates?
--Skate1168 01:27, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
- See how there are all those pages like general, in universe, and the rest, linked from Uncyclopedia:Templates itself? Those contain links to a whole bunch of templates and their usages. Keep in mind, templates should be used sparingly, if at all; they sort of tend to suck. One funny template is great on a couple of articles, sure, but once you've seen that same 'jesus approved' template on 20 different jesii pages, it starts to get a bit stale, know what I mean? - T.L.B. WotM, UotM, FPrize, AotM, ANotM, PLS, UN:HS, GUN 04:46, Jan 31
- Don't worry, I figured out how to make some templates of other pages :D
