Oscar Calme[edit]

Listen. I am no more interested in giving a formal review to an IP than in dispensing career advice to a stranger calling from a phone booth. But this page takes an Uncyclopedia meme, Oscar Wilde, does a Russian Reversal of it, to Oscar Calme, and then tries to write an article on it, but most of the "jokes" consist of the fact that we don't know anything about him; naturally, as you just created him. This page is not a feat of humor but of imitation, culminating in the section whose contents are: "None." and the next one, whose contents are listcruft.
I suggest (after selecting a User Name) that you focus not on what you think an Uncyclopedia article should look like but on something funny you want to write, and then create an "encyclopedia article" that someone would actually look for. For instance, go to Uncyclopedia:Requested articles and see if you feel like filling one of those holes. What I often do is pick a topic and read the Wikipedia article as someone tickles the soles of my feet. Good luck! Spıke Ѧ 15:28 2-Jun-12
You really want a review?[edit]
Okay, I'll do it. But don't be offended because I am going to be brutally honest. -- 23:04, June 26, 2012 (UTC)
Humour: | 2 | IMHO, this is a pretty boring article. It's like listening to a 30-minute lecture on why the sky is blue. I tried this once with Pi beating it into the ground that pi is the most unimportant number in the universe. It's a common IP mistake to try too hard to conform. Ask Romartus if you have any questions about the article. |
Concept: | 1 | Per SPIKE, this is a very bad concept. You might as well add "Oscar Calme" to an article titled "List of people Codeine's mum doesn't know about". |
Prose and formatting: | 6 | I like your vocabulary (your panache). But everything else about this is pretty much mediocre. |
Images: | 4 | The Oscar Wilde picture is the only thing that makes this tick. |
Miscellaneous: | 3.3 | Average of all of the above. |
Final Score: | 16.3 | That was my two cents. You asked for it, you got it. This is just an overall n00bish article and is going on Death Row. |
