CAPE TOWN, South Africa. Shocking scenes unfolded earlier today when a minibus taxi driver was spotted entering the Cape Town Traffic Department and paying a traffic fine. Mr Hlolile Tambo was seen entering the building and walking up to the counter by several eyewitnesses. Miss Jennie van Tonder, one of the people standing around, reportedly almost fainted when she saw Mr Tambo take out his wallet and pay the fine. Another witness is said to be receiving psychiatric treatment for the shock. It is believed that she may also have known that Mr Tambo renewed his driver's licence earlier this year, and that today's events just pushed her over the edge.

Police issued a statement today warning the public not to look at taxi drivers when they are doing the right thing. This may shame and deter them from attempting this again.

Mr Tambo reportedly also got a new taxi after this incident, many of his passengers fainted when they realised this.
