ANARAHS, Afghanistan -- A United States warplane dropped two 800 lb. bombs and hit its target. Official reports indicate that the target was a group of 12 Afghan police, who, at the time, were slacking off on the job. The attacks were lauded as the most successful in Afghanistan since the invasion in late 2001.
The 800 lb. bomb, which cost approximately $950,000, rounds to about $79,166 per policeman. "These were extremely costly deaths," said Lt. Dover of the U.S. Air Force, "It took my whole year's salary to kill just one of them!"
Coalition forces in Afghanistan faced heavy protests over the airstrike, until they threatened to bomb the protestors who then taunted coalition forces into bombing them. "These are hardworking anti-war protestors. They start slacking off, and they'll get it," stated Lt. Dover again.
As a result of this incident, gas prices went up by $0.08.
