Old revision[edit]

Didn't the " ...and we all know what happened next" used to link to Black Jesus? 76.84.12.144 13:14, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

Yes, at one time, it did. But it no longer does. 63.224.201.84 20:00, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
Did I just answer myself? 71.220.211.235 03:53, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Time Paradox[edit]

Chaos and Mewtwo are one of the first "couples", but Mewtwo is also the son of Mozilla Firefox and Mew (at the end of the left branch). I guess Mewtwo used his psychic powers to travel to the past... 83.230.239.248 04:16, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

It's either he used time travel to become his own great-great-great-great-grandfather, or it's another Mewtwo. 75.170.45.221 02:19, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Page space consumption[edit]

I'm a little worried about this template taking up a lot of space on article pages. Could we add a "show/hide" button to it somehow? Pentium5dot1 01:50, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

That would be fine, if there was a way to do it. The problem is that I don't know how. Just put it at the very end of the page.

Done, but it'll only be hidden by default when there's more than more collapsible box on the page. Spang talk 07:33, 30 Jan 2008

The template needs reorganizing

New type lines[edit]

Please leave the new type lines. They look better. 71.220.211.235 20:03, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Messedupness of the tree[edit]

The tree ought to be at least as messed up as the real one. I'll work on it...

Moved core to Greek Gods2[edit]

So it can be put on certain pages or combined with other templates without changing category or anything, I moved the actual tree to Template:Greek_gods2.

Old version is bloody mess!???[edit]

How exactly is the old version a bloody mess??? It's no worse than the real deal!!!

Try looking at it on a few different screen resolutions. Also, the newer version had loads of random stuff added to it. If you want to clean it up, go for it. Make sure it does not break on 1024*768... MrN Icons-flag-gb.png HalIcon.png WhoreMrn.png Fork you! 23:08, Oct 22
Oh, also... This just (only just) survived a vote over at VFD because it's such a mess... MrN Icons-flag-gb.png HalIcon.png WhoreMrn.png Fork you! 23:10, Oct 22

Clarification - Why I didn't simply revert[edit]

I decided that the template needed a "hide" button, which the non-messed-up revision lacked, so I decided to copypaste the meat of that revision into {{Greek gods2}} instead of doing a simple revert. --Pentium5dot1|t~^_^~c 19:03, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

The real Greek Gods family tree[edit]

For reference, ripped from Wikipedia.

I had copied all the templates they had but it was messed up anyway so I'll just take a screenshot.

I can't figure out where the screenshot is so I'll just post a link. [1]

My point is that the real deal makes the old version look simple; also, they've got something cool so you don't have to use ASCII art to show where the people are etcetera. If someone could figure out a way to make it work and be easy to edit here, it would solve all the problems people seem to have with it in one fell swoop. 71.220.213.101 07:48, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

Ah what the heck. I'll try to describe it.

The children of Chaos are Tartarus, Gaia, Eros, Erebus, Nyx.

The children of Erebus and Nyx are Aether, Hemera.

The children of Nyx are Moros, Oneiroi, Nemesis, Momus, Philotes, Geras, Thanatos, Hypnos, Eris, Apate, Oizyx, the Moirae, the Keres.

The children of Tartarus and Gaia are Typhon.

The children of Gaia are Uranus, the Ourea, and Pontus.

The children of Uranus and Gaia are the Hecatonchires, the Titans (Oceanus, Tethys, Hyperion, Theia, Coeus, Phoebe, Cronus, Rhea, Themis, Mnemosyne, Crius, Iapetus), the Cyclopes.

The children of Uranus are the Erinyes, the Gigantes, the Meliae, Aphrodite.

The children of Oceanus and Tethys are the Oceanids.

The children of Hyperion and Theia are Helios, Eos, Selene.

The children of Coeus and Phoebe are Leto and Asteria.

The children of Cronus and Rhea are Hades, Demeter, Poseidon, Hestia, Zeus, Hera.

The children of Mnemosyne and Zeus are the Muses.

The children of Iapetus are Prometheus, Epimetheus, Atlas.

It goes MUCH farther but I'm not going to finish it at this time. 71.220.213.101 08:01, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
