Citation

A citation is a tool authors use to legally copy, distribute, cite and downgrade others' works. It is found mostly in texts where they are used to distract their reader from the text itself by annoying them with obnoxious symbols and references. No reader, of course, takes these seriously because as everyone knows: anything found on the internet is automatically true. Citations are therefore a total waste of the users connection. This is why many webbrowsers have installed an automatic citation filter that blocks citations so that they are not downloaded.

The History of Citations

Citations date back to the texts by Plato, who used it extensively in his writings. Plato was very adept at citing and could therefore proudly pass on his knowledge of citations to his student, Aristotle. Plato and Aristotle dedicated their lives to spreading the use of citations, and it was because of them that the practice reached Egypt.

In Egypt, the citations found a new home within the Alexandrian Library. The citations prospered within the library, and slowly but surely evolved from their citational roots. With lots of books to infect and cite, the citations grew exponentially{{}}, and within weeks formed their own society and congressional courts. It didn't take long before the citations took over the library, and within a month of the liberation, the citations had taken over Egypt. Through clever use of text manipulation, the citations spread throughout the world.

From Egypt, the now evolved citations had an almost divine impact on the world. It is still tradition in Taiwan, for example, that in order to be successful in life you must cite at least 10 sources for every one thing you make up. Scientists today can only nod their heads in agreement when looking at the countless unsuccessful internet hogs that exist.

Citations have since been proven to be the cause of The Seven Plagues, human stupidity, global warming, the holocaust, entropy, human stupidity, and the 16-year overdue end of the 100 Year War.

Lack of Citations in popular culture

Lack of citations can be found anywhere. Really. Lack of citing has become proper practice, and it is therefore common to find " " stuck to anything.

Some also find it funny to stick the tags to every word in a sentence.

Or two on the same word.

Sometimes you find sentences of purely tags. .

In fact, some sites have whole sections solely made up of tags. You really shouldn't trust those!
